Methods and apparatus are disclosed to identify usage of quick response codes. An example method includes inspecting a received request to identify a QR code associated with the request, the request being received from a device in response to an instruction included in the QR code. The example method further includes storing a record indicating access to the identified QR code. The example method further includes determining a redirect universal resource locator (URL) associated with the identified QR code. The example method further includes transmitting a redirect message to the device, the redirect message to instruct the device to navigate to the redirect URL.

An example method to determine mobile device usage includes filtering, with a processor, a debug log file stored in the device to obtain debug file entries representative of device usage information, the debug log file having been modified by at least one of an operating system of the device or a device application, and sending, to a server, a filtered log file based on filtering the debug log file.

An apparatus for use in a communication network comprises a state machine capable of transitioning between a plurality of states. The plurality of states comprises at least two concurrent states. The state machine operates in the at least two concurrent states concurrently. Each of the concurrent states may be associated with a task. At least a portion of the task associated with one of the concurrent states may be performed concurrently with at least a portion of the task associated with another of the concurrent states when the state machine operates in the concurrent states.

Collaborative state machine framework for use in a communication network

An intelligence engine software architecture is disclosed. The architecture consists of a sensor layer, a knowledge processing layer, and an intelligence layer. The sensor layer can receive input data from a plurality of domains and convert the input data into a domain-independent format. The knowledge processing layer can identify a pattern in the domain-independent data and compare the domain-independent data to a previously identified pattern. The intelligence layer can make a prediction based on the comparison of the domain-independent data to the previously identified pattern, the intelligence layer is further operable to issue reports, events, and other information of interest to an operator.
