A decoupling element is described for a fuel injection device which is characterized in particular by a low-noise design. The fuel injection device includes at least one fuel injector, a receiving bore in a cylinder head for the fuel injector, and the decoupling element between a valve housing of the fuel injector and a wall of the receiving bore. The decoupling element is designed as a decoupling system having a spring ring and a conical washer. The fuel injection device is suitable for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing spark-ignition internal combustion engine in particular.

Decoupling element for a fuel injection device

In a method for operating a valve, e.g., a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle which is activated with the aid of an actuator, the actuator is activated using a control variable which has a predetermined control period. The control period is formed as a function of a setpoint value for a closing delay time of the valve which characterizes a time difference between an end of the control period and a closing point in time of the valve.

Method and control unit for operating a valve

A method for operating a valve actuated by way of an actuator, in particular a fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, in which a first delay time is identified, which time characterizes a time difference between a point in time of a first change in an energization signal for the actuator and a point in time of a first change in the operating state of the valve corresponding to the first change in the energization signal. In a method for operating a fuel injector, a transition range of the characteristics curve of the injector is detected individually and adapted continuously, so that a monotonous characteristics curve is formed, with whose aid high metering precision of the injector is achieved.

A fuel injector, in particular for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having externally supplied ignition, includes an armature which cooperates with a solenoid coil, and a valve needle which is joined to the armature by force-locking and on which a valve-closure member is provided which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface. The armature is swingingly supported on the valve needle by a spring.

Described is a method for controlling a magnet valve for controlling the injection of fuel into an internal combustion engine, which method permits precise fuel metering in the no-load running or in the lower partial load range without changes to the hardware of the fuel injection system being necessary.

Method for controlling at least one solenoid valve

Conventional devices have a valve needle and a shape memory element which, by the application of a controllable magnetic field, executes a control stroke travel that operates the actuator, and having a coil that excites the magnetic field which is situated in a magnet housing which, at its end face, is bordered with respect to an actuating axis by a front wall in each case, the front walls having a through opening radially within the coil. It is a disadvantage that the magnetic field excited around the coil is conducted unfavorably, so that at most a slight magnetic field develops in the shape memory element. The shape memory element has a magnetic field flowing through it, in the direction of its longitudinal extension, if at all. Since the shape memory element has a high magnetic resistance and is developed to be very long in the axial direction, only a very weak magnetic field can be induced in the shape memory element. In response to the magnetic field that is weak at most, the shape memory element can generate only a very slight lift of the valve needle. In the device according to the present invention, a strong magnetic field is conducted through the shape memory elements, and in this way, a large control stroke travel is achieved. The shape memory element(s) is/are positioned generally only in the through opening(s).

A fuel injector, especially for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, includes a nozzle body able to be inserted into a recess of a cylinder head, a valve housing, a plug abutting the valve housing, and at least one fixation element, which fixes the nozzle body in its position in the recess, the fixation element extending from a connection region () between the valve housing and the plug on the spray-discharge side. The at least one fixation element has a reinforcement having a spherical contour at an outer periphery, the reinforcement being formed by at least one outwardly projecting element having an outwardly curving end face and/or having a planar end face.

A support element is provided for the mutual support of a fuel injector in a valve receptacle, e.g., the valve receptacle of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, and of the fuel injector against a fuel distribution line. The support element has a clamp, clips and brackets.

Support element

A mounting device for attaching a fuel injector both to a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and to a fuel distribution line, includes two spring tongues which are insertable into a holding groove of the fuel injector or the fuel distribution line. A distance between the tips of the spring tongues is smaller than the largest diameter of the opening surface enclosed by them, and the spring tongues are radially elastically displaced with respect to an axis of the fuel injector. At least two spring elements, elastically displaced in the axial direction with respect to the spring tongues by either tensile or compressive forces, are formed and are axially non-positively, detachably connectable to the opposite fuel injector or the fuel distribution line via a catch connection.
