An effervescent liquid dispenser for a carbonated beverage is disclosed that includes a container containing liquid to be dispensed receiving pressurized gas from a pressurized gas source, becoming a pressurized liquid, the pressurized liquid becoming an effervescent liquid upon being dispensed from the container; and a dispense valve that is positionable in a first position for permitting pressurized gas to be received in a vessel to become the pressurized gas source, the dispense valve selectably movable between the first position and a second position, the dispense valve being secured to the container in the second position in response to the vessel receiving pressurized gas, the vessel becoming the pressurized gas source for the dispenser; wherein the container complies with 27 C.F.R. 5.46 (1999) and conforms with 49 C.F.R. 173.306 (1976).

A container is disclosed including an effervescent liquid and an effervescent liquid dispenser including pressurized gas from a pressurized gas source, and a regulator in selective fluid communication with the container and the pressurized gas source. In response to a differential pressure applied to the regulator being less than a first threshold value between a container pressure and an environmental pressure of an environment surrounding the dispenser, pressurized gas from the pressurized gas source is permitted to flow into the regulator chamber and the container until the first threshold value is achieved. In response to the differential pressure applied to the regulator being greater than the first threshold value between the container pressure and the environmental pressure, pressurized gas from the pressurized gas source is prevented from flowing into the regulator chamber and the container and in which the liquid dispenser is permanently affixed to the container.

A method of managing leakage of liquid inside a battery system comprises: containing leaking liquid in a non-liquid sensitive region of the battery system so as to protect internal electrical components of the battery system from coming in contact with the leaking liquid; and in direct response to the leakage, expunging the leaking liquid from the battery system. A drain device includes: a body with a port therethrough, the body configured to be positioned in a wall of a container; means for opening the port in response to a first liquid contacting the drain device on an inside of the container; and means for resisting ingress into the container by a second liquid that contacts the drain device on an outside of the container.
