In one or more examples, a method comprises advancing a tubing string along a primary wellbore toward a junction having a low-side exit to a secondary wellbore, with a guide sub positioned at a leading end of the tubing string. The guide sub has a buoyancy within a well fluid external to the guide sub. The buoyancy of the guide sub is used to bias the guide sub toward a high-side of the primary wellbore while moving the guide sub across the low-side exit to a downstream portion of the primary wellbore. Subsequently, the guide sub is used to guide a fluid or tubular component between the tubing string and the downstream portion of the primary wellbore across the low-side exit.

A selective anchor assembly for a downhole completion comprising an anchor sub and a seal assembly with at least one seal unit. The anchor sub comprises at least one button slip within a corresponding piston port that is fluidically coupled to an inner passage of the anchor. The selective anchor is configured to slidingly and sealingly engage a polish bore of a downhole completion. The selective anchor is configured to anchor to a shroud coupled to the polish bore in response to pressure applied to the inner passage of the anchor sub.

A borehole geometry sensor and running tool assembly includes a borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly configured to determine a borehole geometry of a wellbore. The borehole geometry sensor and running tool assembly also includes a running tool assembly that is initially detachably engaged to the borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly and configured to run the borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly into a borehole, and disengage the borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly after the borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly is run into the borehole. The borehole geometry sensor and running tool assembly further includes a pulse sub-assembly configured to supply power to the running tool assembly, and transmit data obtained by a borehole geometry sensor of the borehole geometry sensor sub-assembly.

Provided is a buoyant guide sub for use with a downhole oilfield conveyance. The buoyant guide sub, in one aspect, includes a hollow tubular structure, the hollow tubular structure including one or more tubular walls. The buoyant guide sub, according to at least one aspect, further includes a housing coupled to and slidable relative to the hollow tubular structure, the hollow tubular structure and the housing operable to form a pressurized chamber, the hollow tubular structure and housing having a combined mass per unit volume less than a specific gravity of 2.
