The invention relates to a novel enzyme obtained from(DSM 9948), which can be regarded as cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) and also as &#x3b1;-amylase. The invention also relates to sufficiently similar proteins or derivatives that exhibit amylolytic and/or CGTase activity, to the corresponding nucleic acids and micro-organisms that produce said proteins and derivatives, to methods for the production of said proteins and to diverse uses of the same. In addition, said proteins can be further developed for other, predominantly technical purposes. The invention relates in particular to detergents and cleaning agents containing CGTase of this type, to methods for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces using CGTase of this type or corresponding agents and to the use thereof for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces.

A 7-7 (DSM 12368), to sufficiently similar proteins having an amylolytic function, to methods for the production thereof and to diverse fields of application for these proteins. In addition, the aforesaid can be further developed beyond the implemented fields of application for other technical purposes. The invention particularly relates to washing and cleaning agents containing amylolytic proteins of the aforementioned type, to methods for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces that involve the use of the amylolytic proteins or analogous agents, and to their use for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces.

The invention relates to a novel alkaline protease of the subtilisin type fromsp. (DSM 14392) and various related proteins and derivatives thereof. The invention further relates to washing and cleaning agents comprising novel alkaline proteases of the subtilisin type, various related proteins and derivatives thereof and corresponding washing and cleaning methods and use thereof in washing and cleaning agents and further technical applications.
