The plastic container has a heel portion having an enclosed base; a body portion transitioning into the heel portion; a bell portion transitioning into the body portion; and a finish attached to the bell portion and defining an opening. The body portion is formed into a generally tubular structure by a plurality generally flat panels. Each of the panels is connected to an adjacent panel with a chamfered post, and the body portion includes at least one vertically oriented rib at each of the chamfered posts.

A multi-sided spiraled plastic container for liquid, flowable, and squeezable products may be suitable for use with food or beverage products packaged by traditional hot-fill processes. The container includes an open top through which the container is adapted to be filled, and a body portion having a shoulder section, which extends downwardly from the open top towards a closed base portion. The body portion has a plurality of vacuum panel pairs which are disposed in a spiral fashion about the body portion and configured for contributing to a superior top load strength of the container.

A base for a container is provided. The base includes an annular bearing surface that defines a bearing plane. The base also includes a parting line that extends along the base and defines first and second portions on opposite sides of the parting line. The base further includes an inner portion that is spaced from the bearing plane and surrounded by the annular bearing surface. In such a base, the first portion is offset from the second portion.

A hot-fillable blow molded plastic container having a finish with an opening; a base; a lower bumper transition; an upper bumper transition and a tubular dome. The upper bumper transition and lower bumper transition defines a label mounting region. The label mounting region includes a circumferential ring adjacent to the upper bumper transition a vacuum panel. The tubular dome can be between the upper bumper transition and the finish and can has a cross sectional shape that is substantially the same throughout. The tubular dome includes an upper bell and a lower bell separated by a peripheral waist that has a diameter less than that of the upper and lower bell.

The container may comprise a base, a body portion attached to the base and a concave waist attached to the body portion and having a surface. The surface including a plurality of axial apexes and troughs alternately arranged around the waist. A dome may be attached to the waist. A finish may be attached to the dome, the finish having an opening.

A plastic carafe includes a body portion having an enclosed base defined by a plurality of upstanding posts and a plurality of panels separating the posts from one another. The carafe further includes a neck portion having a blown finish at the top of the carafe that defines a wide-mouth. A shoulder portion transitions the posts and panels to the neck portion.
