A mixing spool is utilized to mix a liquid coagulant into water flowing through a large conduit. The mixing spool is inserted as a segment into the conduit. The mixing spool utilizes a pair of opposite facing nozzles which extend through a wall of the spool into the interior of the spool. The nozzles receive a pressurized liquid flow through a manifold. A chemical injection quill has an open end positioned between the opposite facing nozzles, wherein the chemical injection quill is configured to deliver the liquid coagulant into the water flowing through the conduit.

An apparatus and method for increasing the mass transfer of a treatment substance into a liquid flowing in a pipe in a full pipe flow regime has a diversion conduit which receives a portion of the liquid. The portion of the liquid is mixed with a treatment substance and then reintroduced into the pipe at a downstream location through an injection structure. Between the diversion conduit, on the upstream side, and the injection structure, on the downstream side, there are a plurality of flow vanes disposed circumferentially about a cylindrical inner wall of the pipe, where each flow vane extends radially inward toward a central axis of the pipe, extending into the main stream flow of the liquid. Another embodiment of the invention has a flow grid located downstream of the injection structure.

A proportionate automated blending system for aqueous mixtures has a plurality of liquid additive control modules which each provide a desired amount of additive to a dedicated mixing injector to blend each additive with water to provide a precise mixture of additive and water. The system has the capability, in between blending cycles, of purging the components of the additive control modules with air and water to displace any residue additive which may remain in the control module. The system is controlled by a controller which controls an actuated control valve to achieve the desired flow rate of liquid additive to acquire the desired proportion of liquid additive to water.

An improved walker has a detachable propulsion unit, which is attached to the walker by a platform member which extends forwardly from the propulsion unit, with an upwardly extending walker structure partially attached to the platform member. The user steps onto the propulsion unit while support on either side by the handles of the walker. The platform member is so attached to the propulsion unit as to allow a left section and a right section of the propulsion unit to be independently movable with respect to one another, thereby allowing operation of the propulsion unit. The propulsion unit may be a hover board or power board.

Self-propelled walker

An improvement to a hover board provides additional support and balance to an operator of the hover board. The improvement converts a two wheeled hover board, having no structure for an operator to hold onto with the operator's hands, into a three wheeled vehicle with a handle to which an operator may hold onto. A platform member couples to the hover board, while still allowing the hover board controls to function. A handle member extends upwardly from the platform member as a handle. A third wheel depends from the underside of the platform member, where the third wheel provides additional stability.

Process and equipment for rapid and reliable infusion of treatment substances into a liquid mainstream. The equipment includes diversion of some of the liquid, boosting its pressure into an aspirating injector, which adds treatment substance and in turn discharges to a pair of opposed nozzles that inject the diversion stream with treatment substances back into the mainstream flow.

In the subsurface irrigation of crops, using injectors to provide micro-bubbles of useful gases of improvement of delivery of a more uniform stream with lesser variation in gas content and lesser tendency of particulate fines to settle out, thereby reducing the need to flush the system with attendant waste of water.

An underground irrigation system which supplies beneath the surface of the soil under or near the roots of a growing crop, water infused with micro bubbles of gas (usually air). A mixer/injector injects and mixes gas into water to form a mixed stream that flows from a header into a plurality of branches. The mixed stream emits from the branches. An air bleed releases gas from the system which has separated from the mixed stream.

Process and apparatus to strip volatile contaminants from a liquid supply stream in which the contaminants are dissolved. A gas inducing mixer-injector injects a stripping gas into the stream to form a mixed stream of liquid with its contaminants and bubbles of the stripping gas. The mixed stream is passed through a tangential degasser separator, withdrawing separated gas and water, while maintaining the flow part from the injector to the outlets of the separator at sub-atmospheric pressure.

Method and apparatus for sub-surface injection of irrigation water infused with treatment gas such as air or oxygen. The infusion of gas into the water is by the use of a cavitating mixer-injector, and the resulting infused water under pressure is conveyed under pressure to the roots of a crop, where it is discharged in the root zone beneath the surface of the soil. The released effluent is water containing dissolved gas at atmospheric pressure, gas released from the water when the pressure was released, and gas in the micro-bubbles.
