A microphone unit having only one PCB, a plurality of transducers of acoustic-electric type with digital output mounted on a back side of the PCB, through holes obtained in the PCB in correspondence with each transducer, an A2B audio interface mounted on the back side of the PCB and electrically connected to the transducers; and input/output electrical connectors mounted on the back side of the PCB and electrically connected to said A2B audio interface; the plurality of transducers include a central transducer and at least three peripheral transducers disposed at the same radial distance from the central transducer and equally angularly spaced. The disclosure relates to a microphone assembly () for acquiring a plurality of audio signals, wherein the microphone assembly () has a reconfigurable geometry so that the microphone assembly () may be configured to be embedded in or attached to a body. The microphone assembly () comprises: a plurality of digital microphones (-) configured to convert the sound signal impinging on each digital microphone into a corresponding digital electrical signal, a digital signal processing unit () comprising a serial digital communication interface () and a processor (), and a connecting and mounting structure configured to provide a flexible electrical connection and a flexible mechanical arrangement for the plurality of digital microphones (-).

Microphone assembly having a reconfigurable geometry

The present disclosure relates to a method and to an apparatus, both arranged for controlling acoustic signals to be recorded or reproduced by an electro-acoustical sound system. An initial digital filter is determined by solving an inverse problem, wherein the initial digital filter is configured to control acoustic signals to be recorded and/or reproduced by the electro-acoustical sound system; a frequency-dependent articulation parameter is determined by executing a time spectral psychoacoustic automatic audio quality test on the initial digital filter; a frequency-dependent regularization parameter, used for determining the initial digital filter, is tuned by use of the frequency-dependent articulation parameter; and, by use of the tuned frequency-dependent regularization parameter, a digital filter configured to control acoustic signals to be recorded or reproduced by the electro-acoustical sound system is determined.

Method and apparatus for controlling acoustic signals to be recorded and/or reproduced by an electro-acoustical sound system

Method for acquiring audio signals is described, wherein a microphone probe () equipped with a plurality (Y) of microphone capsules (B) detects a plurality of audio signals, and wherein said detected audio signals are combined together in order to obtain a virtual microphone signal. The latter is generated as a function of characteristic probe data (IRs) measured during a probe characterization step, wherein the signals detected by each microphone capsule (B) are measured following a corresponding predetermined test signal. An audio acquisition system is also described which allows to implement the method.
