The optical device for determining the angular position of a rotating element comprises: a concave mirror () integral to one rotating element (); an electromagnetic radiation emitter (); at least one electro-optical detector (R,L). The concave mirror, the emitter, and the detector are arranged in such a way that at least a part of the radiation emitted by said emitter is focused by the concave mirror on said at least one detector. The detector produces a signal, which can vary as a function of the position in which the radiation is focused by the mirror on the detector.

Reflection optical sensor for determining the angular position of a rotating element

The device for deflecting a laser beam comprises a mirror (1) and means for orientating the mirror according to a predetermined equation for the controlled deflection of the laser beam (F). The mirror (1) is supported so that it can oscillate about two axes and the means for orientating the mirror comprise a plurality of electromagnets (11A, 11B, 15; 13A, 13B, 17) supplied with currents which are controlled and variable in time (I.sub.15, I.sub.17) to exert magnetic forces on said mirror (3).
