A reel unwinder including a first unwinding position, in which a first reel is positioned; a second unwinding position, to which the first reel is transferred when it is replaced with a second reel; a stand-by position, in which the second reel is kept in stand-by; a first unwinding member adapted to start rotation of the second reel when the first reel is replaced with the second reel. Moreover, the unwinder includes a second unwinding member, with at least one endless flexible element. The endless flexible element extends from the first unwinding position to the second unwinding position, and is adapted to maintain the first reel in contact with the second unwinding member and in rotation by the second unwinding member in the first unwinding position, in the second unwinding position and while it is being transferred from the first unwinding position to the second unwinding position.

Reel unwinder and unwinding method

The rewinding machine includes: a winding unit; a feed path of the web material; an insertion path of the winding cores; a separator device to sever the web material upon completion of winding each log. The separator device is disposed and produced to be activated by passage of a winding core.

Method and device for producing logs of web material with a mechanism for interrupting the web material activated by passage of the winding cores

The device comprises at least a continuous movable flexible member () carrying a series of contact members (A,B) for the products (R; R; RN) aligned with one another. A section of the movable flexible member is devoid of said contact members to allow the trimmings (Rc, Rt) to fall. At least a longitudinal supporting element () of the products (R; R, RN), is also provided, parallel to the movable flexible member, the reciprocal position of said flexible member and of said longitudinal element being such that the products advance in contact with the contact members (A,B) of the flexible member and with the longitudinal element. A pusher () inserts the series of products with the respective trimmings between the flexible member and the longitudinal supporting member. The flexible member () is controlled with a variable speed to carry the section thereof devoid of contact members time by time to the level of the head and tail trimmings (Rc; Rt) of two consecutive series of products.

The device includes a supporting surface, with an initial curved surface portion, and a substantially flat surface portion. Above the supporting surface, extends at least part of a first path and of a second path of a first ply and of a second ply. The two paths are disposed adjacent to the supporting surface and the initial curved surface portion has a convexity facing the first path. Also provided is a system to supply air between the first path of the first ply and the supporting surface, to help support the web material with respect to the supporting surface.

The control device comprises: at least one member (X) for regulating the speed of advance on the weblike material; a central control unit (); a guiding roller () with mobile axis, over which the weblike material is run; and a position transducer () for detecting the position of the guiding roller () and for generating a position signal for controlling the speed of said weblike material. The guiding roller () is supported in a controlled position, and associated thereto is at least one sensor () for detecting a load (F) applied by the weblike material (N) on the guiding roller (). The machine comprises in combination: a winding cradle (); an insertion member () to insert winding cores (A, A) into said cradle; an ejector () to eject the logs formed from said cradle () causing them to roll on an unloading chute (); a severing device () to sever the web material after ejection of the log from said cradle. Disposed along the unloading chute is an aperture () elongated in a direction transverse to the direction in which the log is unloaded along said unloading chute. The unwinder device includes an unwinding station (), with unwinding members for unwinding reels and a splicing device () for splicing together web-like materials (Nand N) coming from a first reel (B) and from a second reel (B). The supports are constructed and arranged to simultaneously support two reels being unwound, during at least a phase of the unwinding, and each of said supports is able and constructed to load a new reel in an engagement position, support it during the unwinding and unload it in a release position.

The rewinder machine comprises: a first winding roller (); a second winding roller (), defining with said first winding roller () a winding cradle; a feeder () for sequentially introducing winding cores to said winding cradle; an optional glue applicator () for applying glue to said cores. The feeder () may include an element () for applying glue to the winding cores while they are being fed to said winding cradle. In a special embodiment, the feeder is mechanically linked to a system for unloading the roll from the winding cradle.

A method for producing an embossed web product comprising at least two plies (V, V) bone to one another by gluing, wherein: at least a first of said plies is embossed producing on it a first series of protuberances (P) and a second series of protuberances (P), the protuberances of the first series being of greater height than the protuberances of the second series; an adhesive (C) is applied to the protuberances of said first series; the first ply is glued to the second ply (V), the protuberances (P, P) of the first ply projecting inside the web product, towards the second ply (V). The protuberances of the first and of the second series form in combination with each other complex decorative patterns (D). Each complex decorative pattern is formed by at least a protuberance of the first series and at least a protuberance of the second series. Moreover, the complex decorative patterns are distributed with a density equal to or less than 2 patterns per cm.
