Methods for stabilizing the cosmetic compositions containing high amounts of hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol and methods of treating the skin with the cosmetic compositions is also described.

Serums for reducing lipid peroxidation

Skin-tightening compositions for providing a physical tightening effect to the skin and methods for using the same. The compositions may be in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion and include about 0.1 wt. % to about 6 wt. % of sodium silicate; at least 3 wt. % to about 11.5 wt. % of magnesium aluminum silicate; about 1 wt. % to about 15 wt. % of one or more fatty compounds; about 0.1 to about 20 wt. % of one or more nonionic emulsifiers; about 1 to about 25 wt. % of one or more polyols; and about 50 to about 90 wt. % of water, wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the composition. The weight ratio of the sodium silicate to magnesium aluminum silicate is from 0.08 to 1.0 and a total amount of sodium silicate and magnesium aluminum silicate is 3 wt. % to 13 wt. %.

Skin-tightening composition

The instant disclosure relates to a composition for topical application to the skin comprising a first pearlescent uncoated pigment having an average particle size of 25 um or less; a second pearlescent pigment having an average particle size of 25 um or less, completely or partially coated with one or more layers of metal oxides; a first mica having an average size of 42 um or less, completely or partially coated with one or more layers of red iron oxide; and a second mica having an average size of 25 um or less, completely or partially coated with one or more layers of titanium dioxide. It also relates to methods of using said compositions.

Pigment compositions

The present disclosure relates to cosmetic compositions that provide immediate skin-tightening and long-lasting improvements to the skin for the treatment of, for example, eye bags, facial wrinkles, and other age-related skin imperfections. The compositions comprise: (a) a first film former sodium silicate; (b) a second film former; (c) at least one polyvalent silicate; (d) at least one anionic associative polymeric thickener; (e) a third film former VP/VA Copolymer; (f) at least two plasticizer; (g) at least one treated or non treated iron oxide pigments; and (h) optionally at least one cosmetic powder.

Skin tightening compositions

An aerosol oil foam composition having at least one triglyceride-based oil and at least one polyglyceryl fatty acid ester surfactant. The polyglyceryl fatty acid ester surfactant includes an alkyl group having at least 10 carbon atoms and having a hydrophile-lipophile balance of between about 8 and about 13. The aerosol oil foam composition is a stable foam that is water rinsable. An aerosol oil-containing foamable composition and a process for cleansing skin, scalp or hair are also disclosed.

Aerosol oil foam compositions comprising a triglyceride-based oil and surfactant

The invention relates to systems and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. The systems comprise 1) a skin-tightening composition comprising (a) at least one film former; (b) at least one polyvalent silicate thickener; (c) at least one anionic associative polymeric thickener; (d) at least one plasticizer; and (e) optionally, at least one cosmetic powder, and 2) a long-wear cosmetic composition comprising at least one silicone-polyamide copolymer, at least one silicone film former, and at least one volatile oil. Methods comprise applying the compositions of the systems on to the skin sequentially after a drying period.

Water-in-oil cosmetic composition having high levels of active ingredients

A water-releasing sunscreen composition in the form of an emulsion and process for using the composition are provided. The composition includes an aqueous phase containing at least one stability boosting polyol. The composition further includes an oil phase containing a first emulsifier and a structuring agent. The oil phase also includes a combined organic UV filter comprising a liquid organic liposoluble UV filter and a solid organic liposoluble UV filter. The combined organic UV filter is at a concentration from about 10% to about 25%. The composition includes a phase ratio of the aqueous phase to the oil phase of about 1.0 to about 10.0. The sunscreen composition is stable, has a sun protection factor (SPF) of greater than or equal to 15 and exhibits a critical wavelength of greater than 370 nm, and converts from an emulsion to a plurality of droplets upon application of shear.
