An oral formulation can include an omega-3 fatty acid, a stilbenoid, a flavonoid, and vitamin D, each present in an amount and weight ratio that causes the formulation to mimic a gene expression profile of caloric restriction in a tissue of a subject, when administered to the subject in a therapeutically effective amount.
