A hearing aid configured to be worn by a user comprises an input processing unit comprising at least one input transducer for providing at least one input audio signal representative of sound, the input processing unit providing at least one processed input audio signal in dependence of said at least one input audio signal; a sound scene analyzer for analyzing said sound in said at least one input audio signal and providing a sound scene control signal indicative of a current sound environment; a notification unit configured to provide a notification signal in response to a notification request signal indicative of a request for conveying a specific message to the user; an output processing unit for presenting stimuli perceivable as sound to the user in dependence of said at least one processed input audio signal and said notification signal. The notification signal is determined in response to said notification request signal and the sound scene control signal.

Hearing aid comprising an adaptive notification unit

A binaural hearing aid system includes first and second hearing aids configured to be worn by a user at or in respective first and second ears of the user, each of the first and second hearing aids including: at least one input transducer configured to pick up a sound at the at least one input transducer and to convert the sound to at least one electric input signal representative of the sound, the sound at the at least one input transducer including a mixture of a target signal and noise; a controller for evaluating the sound at the at least one input transducer and providing a control signal indicative of a property of the sound; a transceiver configured to establish a communication link between the first and second hearing aids allowing the exchange of the control signal between the first and second hearing aids; a transmitter for establishing an audio link for transmitting the at least one electric input signal, or a processed version thereof, to another device. The controller is configured to: transmit the locally provided control signal to, and receive a corresponding remotely provided control signal from the opposite hearing aid via the communication link, and to compare the locally provided and the remotely provided control signals and to provide a comparison control signal in dependence thereof, and to transmit the at least one electric input signal, or a processed version thereof, to the another device via the audio link in dependence of the comparison control signal.

Binaural hearing aid system and a hearing aid comprising own voice estimation

A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid or a headset, configured to be worn at or in an ear of a user, the hearing device comprising at least one input transducer for converting a sound in an environment of the hearing device to at least one electric input signal representing said sound; an own voice detector configured to estimate whether or not, or with what probability, said sound originates from the voice of the user, and to provide an own voice control signal indicative thereof, a face mask detector configured to estimate whether or not, or with what probability, said user wears a face mask while speaking, and to provide face mask control signal indicative thereof. A method of operating a hearing device is further disclosed. Thereby an improved hearing aid or headset may be provided.

Hearing device comprising an own voice processor

A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid, adapted for being located at or in an ear, or to be fully or partially implanted in the head, of a user, the hearing device comprises a) an input unit providing at least two input audio data streams, each comprising a mixture of a target signal component from a target sound source and a noise component from one or more noise sources; b) a mixing processor for receiving said at least two input audio data streams, and for mixing said at least two input audio data streams, or processed versions thereof, and for providing a processed input signal based thereon; c) an output unit providing output stimuli perceivable to the user as sound based on said processed input signal or a processed version thereof. The processor is configured to process said noise component of said at least two input audio data streams, or processed versions thereof in order to reduce or avoid artefacts in said processed input signal due to said mixing. A method of operating a hearing device is further disclosed. The invention may e.g. be used in hearing aids, e.g. hearing aids configured to communicate with another device, e.g. binaural hearing aid systems.

Method of adaptive mixing of uncorrelated or correlated noisy signals, and a hearing device

A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid, comprises first and second hearing device parts having separate first and second housings and being electrically connectable by a connecting element. The second hearing device part is available in a multitude of variants. The connecting element comprises an electric cable comprising a multitude of electric conductors, and a first electric connector comprising a multitude of first electric termination elements. The second hearing device part comprises a loudspeaker, and/or a number of sensors each providing an electric sensor signal representative of a current property of the environment of the hearing device and/or a current state of the user wearing the hearing device. The first hearing device part comprises a configuration extractor electrically connected to said second hearing device part via said connecting element and adapted to identify a current configuration of sensors in said second hearing device part.

A hearing device, e.g. a hearing aid, comprises an input unit; an output unit; an adaptive beamformer filtering unit configured to provide a spatially filtered signal based on a multitude of electric input signals from the input unit and an adaptively updated adaptation factor &#x3b2;; a memory, wherein A) a reference value REF, equal to or dependent on a value, &#x3b2;, of said adaptation factor &#x3b2; determined when a voice of the user is present, or B) a set of parameters for classification based on logistic regression or a neural network, is stored; and an own voice detector configured to provide an estimate of whether or not, or with what probability, a given input sound originates from the voice of the user, and wherein said estimate is dependent on a) a current value of said adaptation factor &#x3b2; and said reference value REF, or on b) said set of parameters for classification based on logistic regression or a neural network, respectively.
