Systems and methods for undo mechanism are provided. Computer systems can have many different software elements, including application elements and file management elements. System elements can be used for user input, providing output, and manipulating data or files. In the course of using a computer system, the user may wish to return to a previous system state by undoing one or more events. In one aspect, an undo operation can be performed across multiple elements in the system (e.g., cross-application undo functionality). In another aspect, past information displayed on a display can be 'recorded' so that it can later be rewound as part of a media player metaphor, and events associated with the rewound/displayed information can be undone. The media player and rewind metaphors assist users in recalling past events and/or finding actions to undo.

Undo system

A unified communication application can allow a user to communicate with contacts across multiple electronic communication services. When the user desires to send a message, the communication application can identify a set of candidate account addresses associated with several electronic communication services in response to receiving a partial identifier of an intended recipient. The communication application can present a list including the set of candidate account addresses to the user. In response to receiving a user selection of one of the candidate account addresses, the communication application can determine a sender account from which to send the message.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for manipulating and/or mapping tiles of graphical object data are provided. For example, a method for manipulating an original tile of graphical data may include generating a mirrored copy of the original tile by mirroring the original tile with respect to a first side of the original tile, superimposing the mirrored copy on the original tile, erasing a first portion of the superimposed mirrored copy of the original tile, and blending at least some of the remaining portion of the superimposed mirrored copy of the original tile with the original tile to create a manipulated tile. The manipulated version of the original tile may be patterned (e.g., in an extensible manner) along a layer of a virtual canvas that may have various aspect ratios, while maintaining a seamless or fluid transition between adjacent tiles.

A unified communication application can allow a user to communicate with contacts across multiple electronic communication services. The unified communication application can aggregate communication history between the user and another person. A set of communication files associated with user identifiers of the user and the other person can be obtained, arranged, and presented to the user in an order based on a timestamp of each conversation line in the files.
