An electric axle assembly includes a banjo axle housing, first and second half shafts, and an electric drive unit. The banjo axle housing has a central portion that defines a receiving space and first and second openings providing access to the receiving space, first and second beams extending from the central portion in opposite first and second axial directions, and defining first and second beam hollows in communication with the receiving space. The half shafts extend within the first and second beam hollows. The electric drive unit includes a motor, a differential, and a housing having first and second housing components. At least one of the first and second housing components defines a motor housing region, the first and second housing components define a gearbox region, and the first and second housing components define first and second apertures that provide access for coupling the half shafts with the differential.

A torque converter, including: a cover arranged to receive torque; a pump including a pump shell connected to the cover, and pump blades; a turbine in fluid communication with the pump and including a turbine shell and turbine blades; a stator including stator blades disposed between the turbine and the pump; a pump hub non-rotatably connected to the pump shell and including a first planar surface facing radially outward with respect to an axis of rotation; and a resolver rotor non-rotatably connected to the pump hub and including a second planar surface in contact with the first planar surface and facing radially inward with respect to the axis of rotation. The pump hub includes a protrusion extending radially outward from the first planar surface and in contact with the resolver rotor. The resolver rotor is arranged to determine a rotational position of the torque converter around the axis of rotation.

A torque converter comprises a front cover, an impeller including an impeller shell fixed to the front cover, and a turbine including a turbine shell axially movable to frictionally engage the impeller shell such that the turbine shell forms a turbine piston of a lock-up clutch. A damper assembly disposed between the front cover and the turbine shell comprises: springs; a flange connected to the turbine shell and drivingly engaged with the springs; and a spring retainer supporting the springs and connected to a turbine hub. A piston plate may be disposed between the spring retainer and front cover and configured to be axially displaceable to force the turbine piston against the impeller shell for engagement of the lock-up clutch. A seal plate may be fixed to the front cover and disposed between the front cover and the piston plate with the piston plate sealed to the seal plate.

A torque converter comprising a cover arranged to receive torque, an impeller having an impeller shell non-rotatably connected to the cover, and a turbine in fluid communication with the impeller and including a turbine shell is provided. In embodiments, the torque converter includes a piston plate; and a seal plate disposed axially between the piston plate and the turbine, wherein the piston plate is sealed to the seal plate at an outer diameter thereof. A pilot flow plate is disposed axially between the cover and the seal plate, wherein the pilot flow plate is fixed to the cover on a first axial side and fixed to the seal plate on a second, opposite axial side.

A torque converter comprises a front cover, an impeller including an impeller shell fixed to the front cover, and a turbine including a turbine shell axially movable to frictionally engage the impeller shell such that the turbine shell forms a piston of a lock-up clutch. A reaction plate is positioned axially between the front cover and the turbine shell. A first pressure chamber is defined axially between the reaction plate and the turbine shell, a second pressure chamber is defined axially between the turbine shell and the impeller shell, and a third pressure chamber is defined axially between the reaction plate and the front cover. An output hub includes a first bore and a second bore radially offset from each other, wherein the first bore is in fluid communication with the first pressure chamber and the second bore is in fluid communication with the third pressure chamber.
