This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods and systems for improving the relevancy of Interactive Program Guide search results on a wireless user's handset and television (hereinafter, 'IPG'). The IPG implements a search facility whereby users may enter search criteria into a wireless user's handset or television or the like and receive search results sorted to provide the most relevant results first. In one embodiment, the IPG may receive search criteria into a search engine and determine one or more search results in response to the search criteria. The IPG may query one or more databases of attributes, compare the search results to the attributes, and calculate weights for each of the search results according to one or more attributes. The IPG may also sort and return the compared search results so that the results are returned in order of relevance according to the weighting.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a system and method for providing a program guide for past programming comprising receiving a user command to retrieve program data, retrieving the program data from a data source, and outputting, to a display device, the program data in response to receiving the user command. The program data may comprise information relating to previously-aired programming.

System and method for providing an interactive program guide for past, current, and future programming

A method may include requesting aggregated index information relating to media content stored on a least two digital video recorder (DVR) devices. The aggregated index information is received in response to the request. The aggregated index information includes a number of content entries, each entry including location information identifying a DVR device on which the associated media content is stored. A listing of the media content is displayed based on the aggregated index information.
