The various embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for uplink scheduling schemes for low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite based Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). According to an embodiment, a zone-based scheduling (ZBS) scheme is described where the coverage area may be divided into a plurality of zones and independent scheduling-offsets may be allocated for each of the zones. The ZBS scheme improves upon the overall user latency by reducing the K2 and cell offset delay for low-propagation delay users within the NTN cells. At the same time, the impact of differential doppler may also be mitigated with such a zone-based allcoation strategy.

Methods for scheduling uplink transmissions for non-terrestrial networks

An example method for managing a UAV control operation includes periodically receiving a request for transmission of UAV assistance information from a network entity and establishing a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network entity. In response to the received request, the method further includes determining a triggering of at least one event corresponding to an initiation of a UAV control operation and transmitting UAV assistance information to the network entity in an RRC connected state based on the determined triggering of the at least one event. The method further includes receiving a control message from the network entity in response to the transmitted UAV assistance information. The control message includes information related to an execution of the UAV control operation. Thereafter, the method further includes executing the UAV control operation based on the information included in the received control message.

Method and system for managing a control operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle

An example security processing method includes receiving data packets at a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer from an upper layer and parsing header information of each of the data packets to determine a length of each of the plurality of headers within the corresponding header information and whether a security header is present or absent in the corresponding data packets. The method further includes identifying corresponding header information of the data packets in which the security header is present based on the determination. The method further includes encrypting, based on the determined header lengths, only each of the plurality of headers of the identified corresponding header information in which the security header is present, and thereafter transmitting the one or more data packets to a lower layer after adding information regarding each of the encrypted headers along with their encryption length into a PDCP header.

A method and an apparatus for clustering Internet protocol (IP) packets in a wireless network are provided. The method includes receiving, by a network device in the wireless network, a plurality of IP packets from an upper layer of a user equipment (UE) in the wireless network or vice versa, initiating a timer on receiving the plurality of IP packets from the upper layer, forming a cluster of IP packets having a predetermined maximum size while the timer is running, stopping the timer once the formation of the cluster is completed, and transmitting the cluster of IP packets to a lower layer of the UE, where the lower layer treats the cluster of IP packets as a single payload to minimize the IP packets handled at the lower layer of the UE.

Methods and systems for routing data through IAB nodesin 5G communication networks. Embodiments herein allow routing data between a UEand an IAB donorthough IAB nodesusing adaptation layers of the IAB donorand the IAB nodes. The adaptation layers of the IAB donorand the IAB nodesare configured by defining adaptation layer header and functionality. Mapping is performed between bearers/RLC channels of the UEand the IAB nodeand between bearers/RLC channels of the IAB nodesand the IAB donor. The means to perform the mapping is specified by the adaptation layers of either the IAB donoror the IAB nodes. The data is routed through the bearers/RLC channels. The embodiments include managing RLC layer functionality using either hop-by-hop ARQ or end-to-end ARQ.
