A threaded product is provided having an external thread form on a tubular pin member comprises load and stab flanks on either side of a crest, along with smooth transitions between the crest and flanks. An elliptical root between the flanks aids in reducing stress and forms a dope volume between a non-conforming crest of an internal thread form of a tubular box member. Flanks of the internal thread of the box member contact flanks of the external thread of the pin member to form areas of mating contact on either side of the thread.

Reduced mechanical energy well control systems and methods of use

A threaded oilfield tubular connection includes a box connector () having internal threads () and a pin connector () having external threads () for mating with the internal threads. Each of a box torque shoulder () and a pin torque shoulder () may be negative angle shoulders, and the thread flanks on the internal and external threads may also be negative angle load flanks. The connector substantially maintains a desired preload when dope is trapped between the threads during makeup. Another embodiment provides positive angle torque shoulders and positive angle load flanks.

Oilfield threaded connections

A threaded oilfield tubular connectionincludes a pin memberhaving a first external tapered threadand a second external tapered thread. A box member includes a first internal tapered threadand a second internal tapered thread. Helical torque shouldersare provided on the pin member and the box member, and an axially spaced between the respective first and second threads. The helix of each torque shoulder includes a plurality of revolutions with compression flanks on both the pin member and the box member.

Oilfield tubular connection with increased compression capacity

A threaded and coupled connector with tapered threads having equivalent heights (same height on pin and box threads), negative load flanks, biased tapered thread forms with a torque shoulder formed by pin noses that abut at a central point within a coupling constructed from standard coupling stock. The connection design meets the internal/external pressure performance requirements of industry standards with capabilities equal to or exceeding those of 'premium' connections, with a coupling constructed from thin walled coupling stock.

Methods and connections for coupled pipe

A rotating diverter for isolating fluid in a well from other fluid above the well is provided. The rotating diverter includes a housing body which has a bore running through it. A retrievable spindle assembly which includes a spindle and a bearing assembly is disposed in the bore. The bearing assembly supports the spindle for rotation. The spindle is adapted to receive and seal around a tubular member, and rotation of the tubular member rotates the spindle within the bore. A lock member is disposed in the housing body to secure the retrievable spindle assembly to the housing body.
