Technical solutions are described for identifying false positive tests. An example method includes receiving an input identifying a defect in a portion of a product code. The method also includes identifying a first automated test that is associated with the portion of the product code. The method also includes lowering a first test confidence value that is associated with the first automated test by a predetermined amount in response to the first automated test being a passing test. The method also includes marking the first automated test as a false positive test.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for predicting transaction server performance failure in a transaction processing environment. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for predicting transaction server performance failure in a transaction processing environment is provided. The method includes receiving a performance metric for a transaction server during nominal operation of the transaction server in memory of a computing system and comparing the performance metric to a benchmark of performance metrics for the transaction server. Thereafter, in response to the performance metric falling outside a threshold variance from the benchmark, an alert is generated of a potential impending failure of the transaction server.

A method in a multithreaded computing environment for capturing diagnostic data, the method comprising the steps of: in response to a determination that the computing environment is in a predetermined invalid state, a first thread recording diagnostic data for the computing environment, wherein the determination includes a verification that the invalid state corresponds to a state other than a transient state of the computing environment corresponding to a transition of the computing environment by a second thread from a first valid state to a second valid state. An apparatus and computer program element for providing such diagnostic data capture are also provided.
