In some embodiments, a method for building software with software action validations, the method comprising: accessing a target object type, the target object type comprising one or more object properties; accessing an action type, the action type comprising one or more action parameters, the action type associating with editing a target object of the target object type; generating a set of validation rules associated with the action type, wherein the set of validation rules comprise a local validation rule associated with a rule parameter; and building a software application, wherein the software application comprises the target object type, the action type, and the set of validation rules.

In an aspect, the system accesses an object definition for a type of data object. The system generates an application programming interface associated with the type of data object, based at least partly on the object definition. A system for troubleshooting network problems is disclosed. A model can use demographic information, network usage information, and network membership information to determine an importance of a problem. The importance of the problem for the user who reported the problem, a number of other users affected by the problem, and the importance of the problem to the other users can be used to determine a priority for resolving the problem. Before and after a work order is executed to resolve the problem, network metrics can be gathered, including aggregate network metrics, and automatically presented in various user interfaces. The analysis of the metrics can be used to update a database of which work orders are assigned in response to which problems.
