A method for steering a motor vehicle by a steering mechanism. The steering mechanism has an actuating element, a manual actuator, a steering actuator, at least one transmission component, and a steering feel function. The steering actuator is connected to at least one steerable wheel of the motor vehicle via the at least one transmission component. The actuating element and the manual actuator are mechanically connected to each other. Operating values of a total transmission force acting on the at least one transmission component are transmitted to the steering feel function, which is used to determine input values of a manual force for the manual actuator from the determined operating values for the entire transmission force. The input values are transmitted to a system function for limiting the input values and compared to a predefined maximum value and a predefined minimum value for the actuating force by the system function.

Method for steering a motor vehicle

A method for controlling a steer-by-wire steering system in a motor vehicle, wherein, by means of an operator element to be actuated by an operator, a control command for actuating a steering actuator acting on at least one wheel to be steered is output, and wherein, by means of a force application element acting on the operator element and in operative connection with the steering actuator, an actuation force for the operator element is set. In the case of a disturbance of the force application element, the steering actuator is actuated so that the control command applied by the operator element is transmitted only in a damped manner to the steering actuator.

Method for controlling a steer-by-wire steering system in a motor vehicle and steer-by-wire steering system

A method for operating a steering system for a motor vehicle, wherein the steering system has at least one steering lever and at least one electric motor for shifting the steering lever so as to cause a steering movement in the presence of a steering input, and wherein the electric motor is electrically connected to a current source via cabling. In doing so, it is provided that the electric motor is actuated and an electric current flowing between the current source and the electric motor is measured in order to check an electrical connection between the current source and the electric motor under the condition that there is no steering input present.

Method for operating a motor vehicle and corresponding motor vehicle

A redundant mechatronic system. The redundant mechatronic system is formed with two channels and is or can be connected for the output of a varying mechanical power to a mechanical arrangement, wherein each of the two channels includes an energy supply and an actuation circuit or a common energy supply is connected upstream of both channels, and both channels can be controlled by at least one control unit. The control unit acts on the actuation circuits in such a manner that the actuation circuits in each case switch an electric power specified by the control unit and drawn from the energy supply through to in each case a winding set of at least one electrically operated actuator, in order to generate the mechanical power. The two channels are operated in parallel during normal operation, in such a manner that each channel provides half of the mechanical power to be instantaneously output.

Redundant mechatronic system

A method for influencing the direction of travel of motor vehicles. The motor vehicle has a first steering system, having at least one steering axle with at least two wheels. The wheels are connected to the steering axle through wheel suspensions that can be adjusted by actuators. A redundant steering system is realized by adjusting a steering roll radius of at least one of the steering axles, according to which a force component acting orthogonally to the direction of travel in the region of at least one wheel is applied to the first steering system.

Method for influencing the direction of travel of motor vehicles

An apparatus for temperature-dependent control of an electric motor includes a control device for adjusting the power output of the electric motor, and means for detecting the temperature of a component of the electric motor, wherein the control device reduces the power of the electric motor in the case of a component temperature above a temperature threshold, and wherein the temperature detection means distinguish between self-heating and external heating, wherein the control device counteracts only the self-heating by reducing the power.

The invention relates to a method of operating a motor vehicle, in which, when at least one predefined driving situation is present, an assigned steering intervention is carried out by a driver assistance system. In advance of such steering interventions, predictions relating to the occurrence of the at least one predefined driving situation are produced as a function of at least one predefined criterion and, as a function of the prediction, at least one operating parameter of the motor vehicle, which is relevant for the steering intervention, is set, before the steering intervention takes place, to a predefined value which is necessary for carrying out the steering intervention. This ensures that when the driving situation takes place, the motor vehicle is in an operating state in which the steering intervention can be executed without interference.
