A monitoring device of a dialysis machine and a method for detecting a venous needle disconnection via venous pressure monitoring based on a threshold value setting. The device includes a button, preferably arranged on a screen of the dialysis machine. The button is configured, upon actuation, to set a lower threshold value and an upper threshold value depending on an actual pressure and to detect an incremental decrease in the venous pressure.

An extracorporeal blood treatment device and method for priming and rinsing an extracorporeal blood treatment device. The extracorporeal blood treatment device includes an extracorporeal circuit, a dialyzer, and a dialyzing liquid circuit. The extracorporeal blood treatment device is configured for priming and rinsing the extracorporeal circuit, dialyzer and dialyzing liquid circuit. An arterial section and a venous section of the extracorporeal circuit are connected by a connector device. A control unit of the extracorporeal blood treatment device is configured to control the priming such that a liquid is supplied from the dialyzing liquid circuit via the dialyzer to the extracorporeal circuit and to control the rinsing such that it occurs via a created pressure difference between the extracorporeal circuit and the dialyzing liquid circuit for causing a liquid transfer via the dialyzer, in particular from the extracorporeal circuit to the dialyzing liquid circuit.

Automatic priming and rinsing of an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus

A device for extracorporeal blood treatment includes a balancing system and calculates an ultrafiltration volume (UF) as a volume withdrawal on the basis of a pressure difference (&#x394;) and a temperature difference (&#x394;) at an inlet and an outlet of at least two balance chambers. To this end, pressure sensors are arranged directly behind an inlet and an outlet of the at least two balance chambers, respectively, and determine a fluid pressure at their respective position, and temperature sensors are arranged at inputs of the at least two balance chambers and determine a temperature in the inlet and the outlet of the balance chamber. The ultrafiltration volume (UD) is calculated using the pressure difference (&#x394;) established on the basis of fluid pressure values determined by the pressure sensors, and the temperature difference (&#x394;) established on the basis of temperature values determined by the temperature sensors.

Device and method for extracorporeal blood treatment

An apparatus for premixing fluids to form dialysate for an extracorporeal blood treatment includes at least a first feed portion for supplying at least a first fluid from at least a first fluid reservoir, at least a second feed portion for supplying at least a second fluid from at least a second fluid reservoir, a premixing portion being configured to premix fluids supplied via the feed portions in counter flow to form a fluid mixture and at least one drain portion for draining the fluid mixture premixed in the premixing portion as dialysate. A method carries out appropriate steps. In a conductivity measurement along the drain portion the conductivity of the premixed fluid mixture is measured by means of a digital filter adapted to be parameterized based on at least two state variables of the premixing process at least in two phases with a first predictive phase and a second corrective phase.

Method and apparatus for premixing dialysate

A pressure compensation valve for a dialysis machine is disclosed. The pressure compensation valve has a valve housing, in which a flow path with fresh dialysate is separated from a flow path with exhausted dialysate by a diaphragm. The diaphragm and the valve housing are configured such that pressure compensation is possible. In addition, the diaphragm is configured such that no vibrations or a reduced amount of vibrations and/or no noise emission or a reduced amount of noise emission will occur during operation. Furthermore, a dialysis machine comprising such a pressure compensation valve is disclosed. The dialysis machine comprises a balancing unit, and the pressure compensation valve is arranged on the outlet side of the balancing unit.
