A beverage machine, in particular a coffee machine, prepares a beverage using water supplied via a fixed water connection to a hydraulic part arranged in the beverage machine and outputs the beverage at an outlet of the beverage machine. Maintenance is simplified by the fact that the beverage machine is provided with a cartridge holder which is accessible from the outside and into which a cartridge can be inserted in an exchangeable manner, the cartridge includes a cartridge connection on the inlet side and a cartridge connection on the outlet side, via which, in the inserted state of the cartridge, water supplied to the beverage machine via the fixed water connection flows through the cartridge and is thereby filtered and/or enriched with additives.

Beverage machine, in particular coffee machine, and method for operating such a beverage machine

The invention relates to a modular brewing unit for a coffee machine, comprising a brewing part and a drive part, which are arranged parallel one beside the other in a common frame, wherein the brewing part, arranged concentrically along a common first axis, has an upper piston, a lower piston and, between the two pistons, a brewing cylinder with a cylindrical bore for accommodating the two pistons, a brewing chamber being formed in the process, and wherein the drive part comprises a spindle which extends along a drive axis, parallel to the first axis, is mounted in the frame such that it can be rotated about said drive axis and is in engagement with the brewing cylinder and the lower piston such that, during a brewing cycle, upon rotation of the spindle, the brewing cylinder and the lower piston are displaced along the first axis relative to the upper piston, which is fixed in the frame. Different brewing units are realized in a simplified manner in that the drive part can be combined with brewing parts of different designs in order to provide for different brewing conditions.

Modular brewing unit for a coffee machine

The disclosure relates to a beverage preparation module intended for installation in a self-service beverage vending machine. According to the disclosure, a water connection and a preparation device for preparing a beverage by means of water provided at the water connection are provided. Beverage preparation parameters can be transmitted to a control unit via a communication interface. The control unit is configured to control the preparation device in order to prepare a beverage based on the beverage preparation parameters. A beverage outlet for discharging the beverage prepared by the preparation device is provided. In one embodiment, at least one additional module interface is provided for connecting the control unit to at least one additional module.

The invention relates to a milk-frothing apparatus, in particular for a coffee or espresso machine, comprising a froth-generating unit () which is in the form of a disposable part, which is easy to replace, and has a mixing chamber (), an outlet (), which leads to the outside from the mixing chamber (), for the generated milk froth, and first means () through which the froth-generating unit () is supplied with steam and air (), and also second means () through which the froth-generating unit () is supplied with milk, wherein the froth-generating unit () can be connected to a holding means () in a detachable manner. The froth-generating unit () can be replaced in a simple and reliable manner while at the same time operating in a flexible manner by the first means comprising a first inlet () through which steam and air enter the froth-generating unit () together, by a combined steam/air nozzle (), which projects outward and is connected to a steam generator and an air pump and through which steam and air are routed together, being provided on the holding means (), and by the first inlet () and the steam/air nozzle () being designed and matched to one another such that they form a detachable hydraulic plug connection.

Milk-frothing apparatus, and coffee or espresso machine and automatic beverage vending machine having a milk-frothing apparatus of this kind

A brewing facility for a coffee machine comprises a brewing cylinder () and an upper plunger () and a lower plunger () by means of which a brewing chamber is formed. The brewing cylinder () and the plungers (and) are held in a frame () such that they can be shifted, and can be driven by means of a driving facility. For adding the coffee powder, a coffee powder feed facility is provided which in turn is provided with a swivel-type funnel (), which can be moved against a spring force from a filling position into a swiveled-away position, and vice versa. The swivel-type funnel () can be swiveled further from the swiveled-away position to a fully swiveled-out position and, in said fully swiveled-out position, can be locked by locking means () and unlocked by unlocking means (). In this way, the swivel-type funnel () can be held in the fully swiveled-out position during the cleaning of, in particular, the upper plunger ().

Brewing facility for a coffee machine

An apparatus for dispensing milk-based beverages comprises a milk container (), a pump () for conveying the milk from the milk container () to a milk outlet (), supply means () for supplying at least one flavoring agent to the milk and means for mixing the at least one flavoring agent with the milk. To this end, a coolable cabinet (), into which the milk container () can be inserted, is arranged in a housing (). Via a hose line (), the milk in the milk container () reaches a mixing apparatus () in a meterable quantity, conveyed by the pump () disposed in the hose line (). At least one flavoring agent is able to be additionally supplied in a metered manner into the mixing apparatus via the supply means (), and is able to be mixed with the milk; the mixed beverage thus obtained reaches, via an outlet (), a vessel () which can be provided beneath this outlet (). Flavored cold milk-based beverages can thereby be produced in an optimal way.

Apparatus for dispensing milk-based products

In a device for dispensing milk and/or milk froth from a container () containing milk, this container is placed in a coolable cabinet (). Via an extraction line () and a further line (), the milk reaches an emulsifying device () disposed outside the coolable cabinet. The product received is dispensed from this emulsifying device () via the discharge nozzle (). Steam is feedable into the emulsifying device () with which steam the milk conducted through the emulsifying device () is able to be heated up and/or frothed up. The further line () consists of a flexible tube which is placed in a peristaltic pump (). This peristaltic pump () is equipped with switching means () with which the peristaltic pump () is switchable from a closed pump state into an open pump state releasing the passage of the flexible tube (). Milk of different temperatures or milk froth can be optimally dispensed using this device; in addition an optimal cleaning can be carried out. This device is advantageously integrated into a coffee machine, making it possible to obtain automatically different types of coffee with added milk.
