A light stand assembly with a base having pivoting legs and a power supply circuit. An adjustable post detachably connects to the base. The adjustable post is configured for telescoping movement between a lower position and a raised position, and secures at a selected position with latches. An adjustable post connector moveably connects to the adjustable post. A pair of light modules detachably connect to the adjustable post connector and operatively connects to the power supply circuit.

A cordless nailer is provided having a magazine assembly with improved features. A pusher assembly is provided having a simplified and efficient construction. A pusher retention feature is provided that prevents the driver blade from impacting a nail pusher. A nail retention feature is provided to allow easy loading and unloading of nails into the nailer. Finally, a method of assembling the magazine assembly is provided.

A pneumatic fastening tool may include a tool housing including a dispensing portion for dispensing a fastener, a handle portion and an inlet configured to receive input of compressed air. A cap assembly may include a cap housing having an opening and mounted to the tool housing. A deflector may be configured to direct exhausted air through an outlet in a first direction. The deflector may have a stem received in the opening. The stem may define a bore extending in a second direction that is distinct from the first direction. A locking member may extend at least partially in the bore and be configured to rotatably capture the deflector relative to the cap housing.

A fastener tool includes a housing comprising a nosepiece and a magazine connected to the housing for storing a fastener. A driving mechanism is disposed within the housing for driving the fastener into a workpiece. A trigger assembly is pivotally attached to the housing for activating the driving mechanism. A nosepiece cover is pivotally attached to the nosepiece. A latch is pivotally attached to the nosepiece cover. A latch wire is pivotally attached to the latch for engaging at least one hook disposed on the nosepiece. The latch wire has a portion extending between the latch and the hook, the portion having at least two bends.

A method for loading coil collated fasteners into a fastening tool. The method includes providing internal access to the fastening tool by moving a door structure and a portion of a canister to load the coil collated fasteners.

Fastening tool with automatic feeding of wire-collated fasteners

A tool that includes a housing, a motor assembly, a hook structure and a detent. The motor assembly has an output member and is at least partially housed in the housing. The detent has a first portion, which is engaged to the housing, and a second portion that is engaged to the hook structure. The first and second portions cooperate in an engaged condition to hold the hook structure in a selected rotational position relative to the housing. The first and second portions being disengagable to permit rotational movement of the hook structure relative to the housing. The hook structure can include a friction enhancing portion that is employed to provide better gripping performance.

A fastening tool includes a housing assembly having a nosepiece and a magazine assembly that is coupled to the housing assembly. The magazine assembly includes a canister, a door structure, a feed pawl and a follower structure. The canister is configured to hold a plurality of collated fasteners and has a first canister portion and a second canister portion that is movable relative to the first canister portion between a closed position and an open position. The fastening tool further includes a coil feeder assembly having an indexing pawl. The indexing pawl advances a fastener into operative engagement with the feed pawl upon movement of the second canister portion from the open position to the closed position. The movement of the indexing pawl may be effectuated by an electric actuator.

A magazine for a fastening tool drives one or more fasteners into a workpiece. The magazine generally includes an outer case and an inner rail movable relative to the outer case. The inner rail is extendable from the outer case to permit adding the one or more fasteners to the magazine. A bar extends between a front end and a rear end of the inner rail. A pusher bearing slidably receives the bar. A spring biases the pusher bearing toward the front end. A pusher block is coupled to the pusher bearing and disposed over the bar. The pusher block is operable to rock about the pusher bearing as the pusher block is sliding through the inner rail to urge the one or more fasteners toward the front end.

A fastening tool with a magazine assembly for holding and dispensing collated fasteners. The magazine assembly includes a canister and a door that is hingedly coupled to a nosepiece. The canister includes a stationary portion and a movable portion that may be moved relative to the stationary portion to permit access to an interior of the canister, e.g., for loading the fasteners into the canister. The door cannot be moved from a closed position to an open position and vice versa without first opening the canister. A method for loading a magazine is also provided.

A method of urging one or more fasteners toward a nosepiece of a fastening tool generally includes placing one or more fasteners into a magazine and moving a pusher block that is pivotally mounted on a pusher bearing toward the one or more fasteners. The method also includes rocking the pusher block about the pusher bearing as the one or more fasteners are fed sequentially into the nosepiece to maintain a pushing surface of the pusher block in substantial abutment with a surface of a last fastener of the one or more fasteners.

A fastening tool including a housing, a magazine connected to the housing for storing a fastener, a driving mechanism disposed within the housing for driving the fastener into a workpiece, a trigger assembly pivotally attached to the housing for activating the driving mechanism, the trigger assembly comprising a main trigger, pivotally attached to the housing and a supplemental trigger pivotally attached to the main trigger; and a contact trip assembly comprising an upper contact trip contacting the supplemental trigger, a lower contact trip connected to the upper contact trip, wherein the upper and lower contact trips have teeth that mesh together for locking the upper and lower contact trips.
