A feeding device ('&#x2033;) for feeding a continuous strip () into a continuous fibrous band, in a tobacco industry machine for manufacturing rod-like elements, wherein the fibrous band is formed to a form of a continuous rod (CR) comprising the continuous strip () surrounded by the continuous fibrous band, the feeding device (&#x2032;&#x2033;) comprising: a strip supply unit () for feeding the continuous strip (); a strip feeding unit () for feeding the continuous strip () into the middle of the continuous fibrous band; wherein the feeding device (&#x2032;&#x2033;) is configured such that the strip feeding unit () is located in the machine for manufacturing the rod-like elements between a fibrous band preparation unit () and a garniture unit () for forming the continuous rod. The feeding device (&#x2032;&#x2033;) further comprises: a feeding wheel (), having a circumferential surface () comprising a cylindrical guiding surface (A) for guiding the continuous strip (); and guiding surfaces (A;A;A;A;A;A;A;A). The guiding surfaces (A;A;A;A;A;A;A;A) and the cylindrical guiding surface (A) form a duct for guiding the continuous strip ().

Feeding device for feeding a continuous strip into a continuous fibrous band in a tobacco industry machine for manufacturing rod-like elements and a machine for manufacturing rod-like elements

An apparatus for conveying rod-like articles of the tobacco industry to feed articles to a receiving area of a transferring unit. The transferring unit has lugs moving on a circular path and conveys the articles to the receiving apparatus. The receiving apparatus conveys the articles axially and the lug reduces the speed at least in a part of the path of movement before the area and/or in the area for receiving the articles from the feeding apparatus to the transferring apparatus and increases the speed at least in a part of the path of movement between the area for receiving the articles from the feeding apparatus and the area for transferring the articles to the receiving apparatus. And a method of conveying rod-like articles of the tobacco industry from a receiving area to a transferring area.

Method and apparatus for conveying rod-like articles of tobacco industry

The object of the application is a transferring apparatus () for transferring of a stream of rod-like articles () from an apparatus () feeding rod-like articles to an apparatus () receiving the rod-like articles in the machines of the tobacco industry, whereas in the feeding apparatus () the rod-like articles () are conveyed in a first stream (S) of rod-like articles in which the rod-like articles are arranged in a first configuration, and in the receiving apparatus () the rod-like articles () are conveyed in a second stream (S) of rod-like articles in which the rod-like articles () are arranged in a second configuration, comprising: a transferring wheel (); non-slidable lugs () situated on the circumference of the transferring wheel (); a guiding surface () to guide the rod-like article, the rod-like articles being conveyed axially, tangentially to the guiding surface (); characterised by having a slidable lug () being slidable relative to the circumference of the transferring wheel () by means of a drive mechanism () so that the said slidable lug () varies its position relative to an adjacent non-slidable lug ().

Transferring apparatus for transferring and method for transferring of rod-like articles of tobacco industry, and apparatus for conversion of configuration of a stream of such articles

A mechanism for a momentary compression of a filter material used in the tobacco industry, wrapped into a wrapper and glued with an adhesive delivered from an adhesive applying apparatus, adapted to being placed on a machine for manufacturing filter rods before the adhesive applying apparatus is characterised in that it comprises at least one rotary compressing member for pressing the filter material linearly moving underneath it. A method of a momentary compression of a filter material used in the tobacco industry, wrapped into a wrapper and glued with an adhesive delivered from an adhesive applying apparatus on a machine for manufacturing filter rods is characterised in that before wrapping the filter material into the wrapper the filter material is compressed by exerting a force on the filter material by at least one rotary compressing member.
