The load or the working platform is suspended and displaced by at least a pair of cables whereof the stresses are equivalent. Advantageously, each pair of cables is controlled by an emergency braking device comprising means for detecting the slack strand on one of the cables of the pair and controlling a braking on the other cable of the pair. So as to avoid an impact during the emergency braking, the working platform is also equipped with a shock absorbing device.

The invention concerns a load balancing device consisting of a planetary or trochoidal mechanical differential speed reducer, arranged on a winch comprising two drums and enabling to balance the torque exerted on the drums. Thus, if a cable is improperly wound on one of th drums, the balancing device enables the tensile load exerted on each wire to remain identical. Such a device is particularly efficient to ensure security for a working platform operating on a building facade.

The invention pertains to a method of installing cables (2) in cable ducts (6a, 6b, 6c) using installation devices (1) propelling the cables (2) into the ducts (6a, 6b, 6c). In accordance with the invention, the installation devices (1) are powered by means of pressurized fluid (f), such as air, transported through the ducts (6a, 6b, 6c). This results in a smaller number of compressors (4) and operators being necessary. The duct in which a cable is installed and/or parallel ducts may be used for transporting the pressurized fluid (f). Device for installing cables

The invention pertains to a method of installing cables (2) in cable ducts (6a, 6b, 6c) using installation devices (1) propelling the cables (2) into the ducts (6a, 6b, 6c).
