Acoustic touch sensitive testing techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a touch-sensitive surface of a touch-sensitive device is tested by detecting contact made with the touch sensitive surface using an acoustic sensor and comparing data describing the contact that is received from the acoustic sensor with data describing the contact that is received from the touch-sensitive device.

Acoustic touch sensitive testing

Touchscreen testing techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a piece of conductor (e.g., metal) is positioned as proximal to a touchscreen device and the touchscreen device is tested by simulating a touch of a user. This technique may be utilized to perform a variety of different testing of a touchscreen device, such as to test latency and probabilistic latency. Additional techniques are also described including contact geometry testing techniques.

Probabilistic latency modeling

User experience of the performance of a computing device is improved through an operating system that processes inputs from a soft keyboard to provide information that can be used to accurately determine keys a user intended to strike while typing. For each detected tap, the operating system provides a probability that one or more keys were the intended target for the user. These probabilities may be computed from probability distribution functions that are dynamically determined based on user and/or system factors, such as typing rate and keyboard style or layout. Other components may use the probabilities to select a key corresponding to a detected keyboard tap as representing the intended user input. The selection may be made based on the probabilities alone or in combination with contextual factors that yield an overall probability that a detected tap arose from a user targeting a specific key.

Soft keyboard interface

Panning latency measurement techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a test apparatus includes one or more motors configured to move one or more contacts at least proximal to one or more sensors of a device to be detectable as a movement. The test apparatus also includes one or more modules implemented at least partially in hardware to measure latency of the device to recognize the movement of the one or more contacts.

Latency measurement

A method and system are provided for creating a higher resolution still image from a multiple video frames having a lower resolution. The system includes a sampling mechanism for extracting multiple video frames captured by a video recording device and an output mechanism for outputting a single high resolution still image from the multiple extracted video frames. The system may include an analysis module for performing an analysis to determine if the selected lower resolution video frames can be combined into a single higher resolution still image.
