Support system for treatment device

Support systems for handpieces are provided. The support system includes a boom assembly having a rigid anchor base and a flexible rod having proximal and distal ends, and a connection assembly having a proximal end configured to couple to the distal end of the flexible rod and a distal end configured to couple to the handpiece. The flexible rod is pivotally secured at the proximal end thereof to the anchor base, and the flexible rod has a flexibility that increases from a distal end to the proximal end thereof. The connection assembly is configured to enable the handpiece to rotate in at least two degrees of freedom. The boom assembly is configured to support the connection assembly and the handpiece such that the connection assembly and the handpiece rest in a neutral position.

A tool for delivery and/or compaction of bone graft material includes a cannula with an inner lumen extending along a longitudinal axis from a hopper end of the cannula to a delivery tip of the cannula. A hopper with an internal volume for storing bone graft material is connected to the hopper end of the cannula with the internal volume of the hopper in communication with the inner lumen of the cannula for delivery of bone graft material from the hopper to the delivery tip of the cannula. An output shaft within the inner lumen extends along the longitudinal axis. The output shaft includes a helical screw thread extending radially outward from the output shaft toward an inner surface of the cannula. An actuator is connected to the hopper and to the output shaft to drive the output shaft rotationally relative to the hopper and to the cannula.

Graft devices and methods of use

An articulation mechanism for a surgical instrument includes an articulation assembly, a plurality of cables, and a trigger. The cables are coupled to the articulation assembly at a proximal end thereof and extend distally therefrom. The cables are configured to engage an end effector assembly of the surgical instrument at a distal end thereof. The trigger is coupled to the articulation assembly and is selectively moveable from a shipping position to a use position. In the shipping position, the cables are substantially un-tensioned. In the use position, the cables are disposed in an initial tensioned position. In the use position, the trigger is moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position. In the unlocked position, the cables are selectively tensionable to articulate the end effector assembly. In the locked position, the tensions on the cables are maintained to lock the end effector assembly in position.

Articulating surgical device

The invention generally relates to methods for manufacturing components for use in a device for generating substantially planar micrografts. The methods of the invention provide for the manufacture of substantially uniform components for a cutter contained within the device, the cutter configured to cut a blister in order to produce a substantially planar graft.
