A method for determining personal protective equipment (PPE) comfort for an individual wearer includes defining a first anatomical shape data representative of an anatomical area of the individual wearer prior to donning a PPE, a second anatomical shape data representative of the anatomical area of the individual wearer after donning the PPE, and comparing the first anatomical shape data with the second anatomical shape data. The method further includes determining a soft skin tissue deformation at a plurality of predetermined anatomical positions based on the comparison between the first anatomical shape data and the second anatomical shape data, and determining a displacement comfort threshold (CTd) value based on the soft skin tissue deformation. The method also includes determining a pressure pain threshold (PPT) value, and determining a comfort metric based on the PPT values and the CTd values. The method also includes generating a notification corresponding to the comfort metric.

System and method for determining personal protective equipment comfort

A replacement part validation system is presented that includes a scanning system that scans a received part and provides the scan results of the received part. The system also includes a part recognition module that, based on the received scan results of the received part and provides a part identification and a part quality metric. The system also includes a job assignment module that assigns the received part to an outstanding repair job. The system also includes an output generator that outputs the outstanding repair job and the part quality metric. The system also includes a computing processor that, based on the received scanned results, causes the part recognition module to review a database of parts and retrieve a most-likely match. The part quality metric is based on a comparison of the received part to the most-likely match. The computing processor causes the output generator to output the outstanding repair job and part quality metric to a source.

A system includes at least one article of personal protective equipment, one or more industrial devices, an industrial controller device configured to output industrial controller data indicative of one or more attributes of the one or more industrial devices, and a computing device. The computing devices is configured to determine a set of one or more safety rules corresponding to a work environment at the first time and determine a change in an attribute of the one or more attributes of the one or more industrial devices. The computing device is further configured to identify an updated set of one or more worker safety rules corresponding to the work environment at the second time and determine whether the status of at least one article of personal protective equipment satisfies the updated set of one or more worker safety rules. The computing devices is further configured to perform at least one action based on determining whether the at least one article of personal protective equipment satisfies the updated set of one or more worker safety rules.

Dynamically determining safety equipment for dynamically changing environments

A system, wearable device and management device provided for predicting a flashover event. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a wearable device for predicting a flashover event is provided. The wearable device includes at least one thermal sensor configured to generate thermal data associated with an environment, and processing circuitry configured to: determine a risk of ignition of at least one combustible gas in the environment based on the thermal data, and trigger at least one action based on the determined risk of ignition.

System and method for risk classification and warning of flashover events

A ring-shaped cushion for a hearing protector or audio headset. The cushion has a circumferential contact pad for sealing on a wearer's head and an attachment for sealing with an earmuff. The cushion further has a sound insulation tube that inwardly defines an inner space. The sound insulation tube extends between the contact pad and the attachment. The cushion has a ventilation passage that extends entirely through the cushion between an inlet opening in the contact pad and an area outside of the inner space. The cushion may further include one or more physiological sensors to monitor the health of a wearer.
