The disclosure describes various aspects of an architecture for light emitting elements in a light field display. In an aspect, a light field display can include multiple picture elements (e.g., super-raxels), where each picture element includes multiple sub-picture elements monolithically integrated on a same semiconductor substrate. Each sub-picture element has a respective light steering optical element and includes an array of light emitting elements (e.g., sub-raxels) that produce the same color of light. The light steering optical element can include at least one microlens, at least one grating, or a combination of both. Separate groups of light emitting elements can be configured and a directional resolution of the light field display can be based on the number of groups. The light field display also includes electronic means configured to drive the light emitting elements in each sub-picture element.

Architecture for light emitting elements in a light field display

In a digital image annotation and retrieval system, a machine learning model identifies an image feature in an image and generates a plurality of question prompts for the feature. For a particular feature, a feature annotation is generated, which can include capturing a narrative, determining a plurality of narrative units, and mapping a particular narrative unit to the identified image feature. An enriched image is generated using the generated feature annotation. The enriched image includes searchable metadata comprising the feature annotation and the plurality of question prompts.

Digital image annotation and retrieval systems and methods

The present application discloses a multi-media interactive story-telling system that provides natural conversational interactions between a human user and a contributor who appears in multi-media recordings. The multi-media interactive story-telling system includes an intake device for recording interview sessions in which a contributor tells a life story about her life experience. The contributor may rely on a script when creating the life story. The multi-media interactive story-telling system further comprises storage devices for storing the recorded interview sessions and processors for organizing the recorded interview sessions. The multi-media interactive story-telling system further comprises an interactive device for retrieving and playing a recorded interview session in response to a query from a user.

Natural conversation storytelling system

The disclosure describes aspects of a display processing circuitry. In an aspect, one or more displays that support multiple views include one or more arrays of pixels, one or more backplanes, and a processing circuitry configured to receive one or more data streams, control processing of the data streams based on policies from which to select a mode of operation, each mode of operation defining which rays of light the arrays of pixels in the displays are to contribute to generate a particular view or views and the tasks to be performed by the processing circuitry to modify the data streams accordingly. The processing circuitry further provides signaling representative of the modified data streams to the arrays of pixels through a circuit configuration of the backplanes for the arrays of pixels to contribute the rays that will to generate the particular view or views. A corresponding method is also described.

Display processing circuitry

Disclosed herein is methods and systems for providing different views to a viewer. One particular embodiment includes a method including providing, to a neural network, a plurality of 2D images of a 3D object. The neural network may include a signed distance function based sinusoidal representation network. The method may further include obtaining a neural model of a shape of the object by obtaining a zero-level set of the signed distance function; and modeling an appearance of the object using a spatially varying emission function. In some embodiments, the neural model may be converted into a triangular mesh representing the object which may be used to render multiple view-dependent images representative of the 3D object.

Methods and systems for rendering view-dependent images using 2D images

A display system includes (i) a plurality of picture elements supported on a single semiconductor substrate and (ii) a backplane including electronic circuitry supported thereon and electronically connected with the picture elements. Each picture element includes a light steering optical element and an array of light emitting elements. The array of light emitting elements includes a first set, a second set, and a third set of inorganic LEDs that (i) are monolithically integrated on the single semiconductor substrate and (ii) emit, respectively, light at a first, a second, and a third wavelength, which are mutually distinct. The light steering optical element is configured for steering the light from the first set, second set, and third set of LEDs in a predetermined direction. The electronic circuitry is configured for individually driving each light emitting element of the array of light emitting elements.

A multiview autostereoscopic display includes a display area including an array of angular pixels, an eye tracker, and a processing system. Each angular pixel emits color that varies across a field of view of that angular pixel. The array of angular pixels displays different views in different viewing zones across the field of view of the display. The eye tracker detects the presence of the eyes of at least one viewer within specific viewing zones and produces eye tracking information including locations of the detected eyes within the specific viewing zones. The processing system renders a specific view for each detected eye based upon the location of the detected eye within the viewing zone with detected eyes, and generates control information for the array of angular pixels to cause the specific view for each detected eye to be displayed in the viewing zone in which that eye was detected.

Light field displays incorporating eye trackers and methods for generating views for a light field display using eye tracking information

The disclosure describes various aspects of a partial light field display architecture. In an aspect, a light field display includes multiple picture elements (e.g., super-raxels), where each picture element includes a first portion having a first set of light emitting elements, where the first portion is configured to produce light outputs that contribute to at least one a two-dimensional (2D) view. Each picture element also includes a second portion including a second set of light emitting elements (e.g., sub-raxels) configured to produce light outputs (e.g., ray elements) that contribute to at least one three-dimensional (3D) view. The light field display also includes electronic means configured to drive the first set of light emitting elements and the second set of light emitting elements in each picture element. The light field display can also dynamically identify the first portion and the second portion and allocate light emitting elements accordingly.

Partial light field display architecture

The disclosure describes various aspects of an architecture for light emitting elements in a light field display. In an aspect, a light field display can include multiple picture elements (e.g., super-raxels), where each of the picture elements has a respective light steering optical element and includes an array of light emitting elements (e.g., sub-raxels) that area monolithically integrated on a same semiconductor substrate. The light steering optical element can include at least one microlens, at least one grating, or a combination of both. The array of light emitting elements includes light emitting elements that produce at least three different colors of light. Separate groups of light emitting elements can be configured and a directional resolution of the light field display can be based on the number of groups. The light field display also includes electronic means configured to individually drive the light emitting elements in each of the picture elements.

An apparatus for closing a wall of a body lumen to deploy a closure element. The apparatus comprises a resettable triggering system which may be slideably moved within a housing to advance a carrier assembly and/or locating assembly, and which deploys the closure element. Upon deployment of a closure element, the carrier assembly may be positioned in a distal position and locked in place within a housing. The lock may be effected by a flexible snap fit interlocking feature which is selectively releasable. Release of the locking feature may be performed by externally insertable tools which engage the flexible snap fit and release the interlocking features. The triggering system may also include a catch which is released upon deployment of a closure element. The catch can be reset to allow the triggering system to be re-engaged into a pre-deployment condition and position.

Resettable clip applier and reset tools

A guidewire loader apparatus is provided for loading a guidewire into a lumen opening of a guidewire lumen of a medical device. The loader apparatus includes a first member defining a respective medical device receiving portion and a respective guidewire receiving portion in communication therewith via a respective interface portion. The loader apparatus further includes a second member configured for placement in an opposed relationship to the first member. The second member defines a respective medical device receiving portion and a respective guidewire receiving portion in communication therewith at a respective interface portion. The first member and the second member cooperatively associate with one another between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the medical device can be positioned into at least one respective medical device receiving portion. In the second position, the respective device receiving portions cooperate to align and support the medical device in a manner placing the lumen opening of the medical device substantially adjacent to the cooperating, respective interface portions. This permits aligned sliding receipt of an end of the guidewire into the cooperating, respective guidewire receiving portions, through the cooperating respective interface portions and into the lumen opening of the medical device.
