A system includes a body, a sensor, a pressurized fluid source, and a blockage detection module. The body defines a cavity open to an ambient environment at a port. The sensor communicates with the cavity to produce a signal representative of a fluid pressure within the cavity. The blockage detection module includes a pressure regulator and a valve disposed along a conduit fluidly connecting the pressurized fluid source to the cavity. The blockage detection module includes a processor and memory encoded with instructions of a blockage detection method.

Probe blockage detection and removal

A wheeled shoveling device which allows the user to scoop up snow, lift the load using the natural weight of the user as a counter-balance, and transport the load to a location whereby it can be frontally discharged using a hand-powered pulling motion on an attached jointed lever. The scoop is attached using a bushing-style hinge, to a large inverted A-shaped frame, allowing the scoop to pivot forward after application of the jointed lever, effectively discharging the scoop. The inverted 'A' frame has an axle and pair of wheels which act as both a fulcrum, as well as a means for transporting the load to another location with the load being held above the ground. The scoop has a pair of small protruding wheels attached to the sides of the scoop box, preventing the scoop's leading edge blade from jamming against terrestrial surface imperfections.

An air data system includes a laser emitter, a laser receiver, and an electronics module. The electronics module includes a processor and computer-readable memory encoded with instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the laser to emit a coherent light pulse into a target volume locating within an exhaust flow aft of an aircraft. The laser receiver detects backscatter produced by the coherent light pulse interacting with the aft target volume, and the electronics module determines an air data parameter based on the backscatter and at least one of an engine parameter indicative of an engine condition of the aircraft and an aircraft parameter indicative of a state of the aircraft before outputting the air data parameter to a consuming system of the aircraft.

A vented module includes a housing portion having a drainage side and a drainage port within the drainage side. The module further includes a flame arrestor including a first surface having a fluid inlet, a second surface having at least one fluid outlet, a labyrinth channel extending from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet, and at least one mesh screen disposed within the labyrinth channel. The flame arrestor is attached to the housing portion such that the drainage port is aligned with the fluid inlet.

A device for use in a leak check test of an air data system includes a device body, an opening extending into the device body with the opening being configured to allow a probe to be at least partially inserted into the opening, and walls surrounding the opening with the walls being situated to seal a port in the probe such that air is prevented from flowing into or out of the port while the probe is inserted into the opening. A method of performing a leak check test includes covering the port with the device to seal the port, heating air within a gas path in the air data system, measuring the change in pressure of the air resulting from an increase in temperature of the air, and determining whether the air data system is sealed depending on the change in pressure of the air.

An aircraft probe includes a base, a strut that extends from the base, at least one port, and an electronics assembly insertable into the strut and removable from the strut. The electronics assembly includes at least one pressure sensor that is pneumatically connected to the at least one port to sense a first pressure when in the inserted position.

A system includes a probe, a transducer, and a sealing feature. The probe is detachable and includes a first gas path extending from a head to a mount. The transducer is configured to mate with the mount and includes a second gas path with an inlet configured to be in fluid communication with the outlet of the first gas path when the transducer is mated with the mount and at least one sensor disposed along the second gas path. The sealing feature includes a first membrane configured to allow pressure to be conveyed from the first gas path to the second gas path when the transducer is mated with the mount while preventing contaminants from entering the second gas path when the transducer is distant from the probe.

Detachable probe and sealing of an integrated air data sensor

A system includes a probe and a transducer. The probe is detachable and includes a mount having an outlet of a first gas path extending through the probe and a protrusion extending away from the mount. The transducer is configured to mate with the mount and includes a sealing feature adjacent an inlet of the second gas path in fluid communication with the first gas path. When the mount of the probe is adjacent the transducer, the protrusion interacts with the sealing feature such that the sealing feature is in an open position to allow air to flow from the first gas path into the second gas path. When the mount of the probe is distant from the transducer, the sealing feature is in a closed position to prevent contaminants from entering the second gas path.

A tuned sensor system is disclosed. The tuned sensor system may receive an unsteady pressure from an external environment via a pressure inlet port. The pressure may have a first component that is substantially static and a second component that varies at a relatively high frequency. The pressure inlet port may conduct the unsteady pressure to a tuned path. The tuned path may filter the unsteady pressure, blocking the second component and communicating the first component, such as for use by a pressure sensor. The tuned sensor system may be compact and may include one or more turn in the tuned path so that the distance between the pressure inlet port and the sensor is less than the length of the tuned path. The tuned path may be entirely within the supporting structure of the tuned sensor system, easing installation, removal, and maintenance of the compact and modular system.

Pneumatic filter

A vane for dynamic flow angle measurements may have improved performance for time lag responsiveness over a prior art delta-shaped vane. In various embodiments, a gust sensing vane may have a cropped-delta shape and configured to align to a fluid flow direction, where the gust sensing vane comprises a forward portion having a leading edge and an aft portion having a first trailing edge and a second trailing edge. A cross-sectional area of the forward portion may have a triangular shape. Furthermore, a cross-sectional area of the aft portion has two substantially parallel sides to form the cropped-delta shape of the gust sensing vane. The gust sensing vane may be coupled to, and extend away from, a rotary hub.

A computer system and method for updating an object stored in a container. A container stored on a storage device includes a plurality of objects being ordered from a first object to a last object. One of the objects in the container is selected for updating and is read from the container into a computer memory where it is edited. Next, each of the objects ordered in the container after the selected object is moved to a new location within the container so that the selected object is overwritten. The container is then truncated after the last moved object. The edited selected object is then written from the memory and appended to the container.
