A photon detection device and method of fabricating a photon detection device are provided. The photon detection device comprises a first input terminal for receiving a DC input voltage, a second input terminal for receiving an AC input voltage and a bias tee connected to the first and second input terminals and configured to combine the AC and DC input voltages to form a combined voltage on an output of the bias tee. A first single photon detector is connected to the output of the bias tee and configured to receive the combined voltage from the bias tee, register a detection signal based on only a single photon being incident on the first single photon detector and output the detection signal indicative of the detected photon. A first output terminal is connected to an output of the first single photon detector for outputting the detection signal. The photon detection device is formed in a single integrated circuit.

The invention is directed to certain novel compounds. Specifically, the invention is directed to compounds of formula (I): and salts thereof. The compounds of the invention are inhibitors of kinase activity, in particular PI3-kinase activity.

Cyclic ether pyrazol-4-yl-heterocyclyl-carboxamide compounds of Formula I, including stereoisomers, geometric isomers, tautomers, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein Ris a cyclic ether and X is thiazolyl, pyrazinyl, pyridinyl, or pyrimidinyl, are useful for inhibiting Pim kinase, and for treating disorders such as cancer mediated by Pim kinase. Methods of using compounds of Formula I for in vitro, in situ, and in vivo diagnosis, prevention or treatment of such disorders in mammalian cells, or associated pathological conditions, are disclosed.

Methods of using compounds of Formula I for in vitro, in situ, and in vivo diagnosis, prevention or treatment of such disorders in mammalian cells, or associated pathological conditions, are disclosed. 

Pyrazol-4-yl-heterocyclyl-carboxamide compounds and methods of use

A series of substituted [1,3,5]triazin-2-yl derivatives, being selective inhibitors of PI3 kinase enzymes, are accordingly of benefit in medicine, for example in the treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, metabolic, oncological, nociceptive or ophthalmic conditions.

Triazine derivatives as kinase inhibitors

A communication system comprising an emitter of weak light pulses, a detector which is capable of detecting single photons, and a source of a clock signal, wherein said emitter and detector are synchronized using said clock signal, the system further comprising a frequency divider for said clock signal to produce a reduced frequency clock signal and a clock regenerator for regenerating the original clock signal from the reduced frequency clock signal, the system further comprising a communication channel configured to communicate the clock signal between the emitter and detector, the clock signal being reduced before sending through said channel and reconstructed after it has exited said channel.

A series of quinoline and quinoxaline derivatives, substituted by a fused bicyclic pyridine or pyrimidine moiety attached via an alkylene chain optionally linked to a heteroatom, being selective inhibitors of P13 kinase enzymes, are accordingly of benefit in medicine, for example in the treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, metabolic, oncological, nociceptive or ophthalmic conditions.

A series of amino-substituted fused pyridine and pyrazine derivatives, in particular amino-substituted quinoline and quinoxaline derivatives, being selective inhibitors of PI3 kinase enzymes, are accordingly of benefit in medicine, for example in the treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, metabolic, oncological, nociceptive or ophthalmic conditions.
