A braided vaso-occlusive member formed out of first plurality of filaments interwoven with a second plurality of filaments, wherein filaments of the first plurality are helically wound in a first rotational direction along an elongate axis of the braided member, and filaments of the second plurality are wound in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, such that filaments of the first plurality cross over and/or under filaments of the second plurality at each of a plurality cross-over locations axially spaced along the elongate axis of the braided member, wherein at each cross-over location, the filaments of the first plurality cross over at least two consecutive filaments of the second plurality, then cross under only a single filament of the second plurality, and then cross over at least two additional consecutive filaments of the second plurality.

Braided medical devices

An implantable medical device includes an elongate member having a cross-sectional dimension that is less than 0.00085 inch, wherein the elongate member is made from a material comprising a platinum-tungsten alloy having a percentage of tungsten that is at least 10% by weight or alternatively the implantable medical device includes an elongate member made from a material comprising an alloy containing rhenium.

Intravascular devices

An injury contact prevention band includes an injury cover portion and a fastening portion. The injury cover portion covers a part of a body including an injury. The fastening portion fastens the injury cover portion to the body. A plurality of injury opening holes cutting through a thickness of the injury cover portion to expose the injury. The fastening portion includes a first fastening member, a second fastening member, and a connecting member. The first fastening member extends from an end of the injury cover portion and has flexibility. The second fastening member extends from an other end of the injury cover portion and has flexibility. The connecting member detachably connects an end of the first fastening member and an end of the second fastening member to each other. The plurality of injury opening holes is arranged along at least one direction.

Band for preventing contact of injury

A stadiometer includes a cap portion to be worn on a head of a user; a connecting portion having a first end coupled to the cap portion and a measuring portion coupled to a second end of the connecting portion. The measuring portion includes a plurality of sensors and a measuring rod. The stadiometer also includes a height measuring plate contactable by the plurality of sensors and the measuring rod. The sensors and measuring rod are configured such that the measuring rod is horizontal when the height measuring plate is contacted by the plurality of sensors simultaneously. The measuring rod is configured to contact the height measuring plate when the height measuring plate is contacted by the plurality of sensors simultaneously.

Cap-shaped portable stadiometer

An embolic device for placement in a body lumen, includes: a first segment having a first linear configuration when located inside a catheter, the first segment being configured to form a first three-dimensional structure when outside the catheter, wherein the first three-dimensional structure defines a cavity; and a second segment extending from the first segment, the second segment having a second linear configuration when located inside the catheter, the second segment being configured to form a second three-dimensional structure when outside the catheter; wherein the cavity of the first three-dimensional structure is configured to accommodate at least a majority of the second three-dimensional structure.

Embolic devices for occluding body lumens

A flat embolic braid having a first side comprising a first side surface, and a second side comprising a second side surface facing in an opposite direction than the first side surface, the braid having an elongated constrained configuration for being deployed through a delivery catheter, and a three-dimensional unconstrained configuration, wherein in the three-dimensional unconstrained configuration, the braid assumes a plurality of successive loops in which the braid is at least partially twisted between successive loops of the plurality, so that the first side surface faces externally of each loop, and the second side surface faces an interior of each loop, respectively, regardless of a change in direction and/or orientation of the braid.

Embolic devices and methods of manufacturing same

Implantable medical devices, such as embolic devices and blood flow filters are disclosed, the devices being made at least partially out of a platinum-tungsten alloy, wherein a percentage of tungsten in the alloy is equal to or greater than about 10% of the alloy by weight.

Intravascular devices with high tungsten content

A vaso-occlusive device includes an inner braided member having an unconstrained deployed configuration and a constrained delivery configuration. The inner braided member includes a first plurality of filaments made of a first material composition, where a pair of filaments of the first plurality defines a first braid angle when the inner braided member is in the deployed configuration. The device also includes an outer braided member disposed at least partially around the inner braided member, and having an unconstrained deployed configuration and a constrained delivery configuration. The outer braided member includes a second plurality of filaments made of a second material composition different from the first material, where the first material has a greater radiopacity than the second material. A pair of filaments of the second plurality defines a second braid angle, substantially equal to the first braid angle, when the outer braided member is in the deployed configuration.

Vaso-occlusive device

Methods and systems for checking for malicious modifications in web pages. A web page may have corresponding portal page and web page verifier. To receive the web page in a client computer, the portal page is provided to the client computer. The portal page allows for checking of the web page for malicious modifications. For example, the portal page may include or download the web page verifier. The web page verifier may check the web page for signs indicative of malicious modifications. The web page itself may be verified by program code included in the web page.

Verification of web page integrity

A web threat protection system may receive candidate uniform resource locators (URLs) from several URL sources. The candidate URLs may be received in a submission database. At least a portion of the candidate URLs is selected for further investigation by sending crawlers to retrieve objects from the selected URLs. The retrieved objects may be analyzed to determine whether they are malicious or good (i.e., not malicious). The result of the analysis may be used to build a security states database that includes security information of the selected URLs. Good URLs may be included in a safe URL sphere, which may be used to navigate to good websites on the Internet.

Discovering malicious locations in a public computer network

A DNS engine monitors domain name system (DNS) network activity occurring between a user computer and a remote computer server. The engine collects DNS traffic information during a specified time window at the user computer using the monitored DNS network activity. The engine generates a local DNS reputation for the user computer and stores the local DNS reputation on the user computer. When a triggering event is received at the user computer the engine determines that the triggering event is abnormal in comparison to the stored local DNS reputation. An alert is issued to a software product on the user computer. The engine takes an action using a software product upon the alert. The reputation may be a frequency distribution for each accessed domain name and IP address. A triggering event may be an abnormal access to a domain name or IP address, or a mismatch between DNS queries and DNS responses of the user computer.
