A computer-implemented method that comprises determining clear data from one or more input files, generating a second file, which is user-recognizable as an audio and/or visual file, by transcoding the clear data into transcoded data using at least one encoding domain, wherein the transcoded data within the second file is no longer user-recognizable as the clear data. Transcoding clear data comprises: determining presentation properties for generating the second file according to presentation elements; determining a mapping associated with the at least one encoding domain; generating the presentation elements representing the clear data values of the clear data; and generating the transcoded data of the second file by combining, based on the presentation properties, the presentation elements such that, upon a presentation of the second file at a user interface, the transcoded data is audibly and/or visually user-recognizable based on the presentation properties.

Provided is a method for authenticating a user communicating with an enterprise via a network. The method includes receiving, via the network, authenticators for a user from a first user device associated with the user, and storing the received authenticators. A first authenticator from the stored authenticators is selected to be used for authenticating the user based on an authentication policy received from the enterprise. An authentication request is transmitted to a user device requesting the first authenticator and the user is authentication by comparing the received authenticator with the stored first authenticator.

Provided is a method for operating an authentication server for authenticating a user who is communicating with an enterprise via a network. The method include receiving, via the network, a first authenticator including first information from a low energy wireless device received via a user device wirelessly, and storing the first authenticator. When the authentication service later receives, from the enterprise, a request to authenticate the user, the authentication server transmits an authentication request to the user device via the network requesting that the user read information from the low energy wireless device using the user device. The information received from the low energy wireless device in response to the authentication request is then used authenticate the user by comparing the information received from the low energy wireless device due to the authentication request with the stored first authenticator.

A computer-implemented method comprising receiving, based on a first user interface of a first application executing on a first device, user input that indicates a recipient, the recipient associated with registration information that indicates a method of communication with the recipient and an encryption key associated with the method of communication. The method causing an encrypted message to be generated based on the encryption key, the encrypted message encrypting clear data based on received user input, causing the encrypted message to be formatted into an encrypted package, that is in an application format compatible with a second application corresponding to the method of communication, wherein the application format is compatible with the second application by at least being a format that is allowed to be sent or to be processed by the second application, and providing the encrypted package to the second application to be sent to the recipient.

A method and apparatus encrypting data for use by an application includes receiving a first clear data in a security application running concurrently with the application. The security application encrypts the first clear data to generate a first encrypted package and distributes the encrypted package for use by the application or by other applications running concurrently with the application. A method of operating a security server to securely transact business between a user and an enterprise via a network includes receiving, at the security server from an enterprise with which the user is currently connected via the network, a request of the enterprise to activate a secure communications channel over the network between the user and the security server. The security server, in response, transmits an activation code for delivery to the user via other than the network and in a manner corresponding to the received contact information. The security server receives, from the user via the network, an activation code and compares the received activation code with the transmitted activation code to validate the received activation code. The secure communications channel is then activated based on the validation of the received activation code.
