A novelty game that utilizes a plurality of alphanumeric-shaped playing pieces. Each playing piece has a body shaped as a letter or number. The body has a flat face surface, a parallel rear surface, and side edges that interconnect the face surface to the rear surface. The width of the side edges is large enough to enable each playing piece to stand upright on-edge and unsupported. A plurality of mechanical connectors are present on the playing pieces. The connectors enable each playing piece to physically interconnect with at least two others of the playing pieces to form an assemblage of letters or numbers word. When a conjoined assemblage is formed, only one or some of the playing pieces touch the ground. Most are supported in the air as the playing pieces build atop one another.

Three-dimensional alphanumeric puzzle game and its associated method of play

A game assembly and its method of play. The game assembly has a game board. A three-dimensional underlay is positioned under the game board. Openings are formed through the game board that enable a person to see into the underlay. The underlay is comprised of a basin that is partially occupied with fill material. Search objects are mixed with the fill material. Sometimes the search objects are covered by the fill material, at other times they are not. Cover structures are provided. The cover structures selectively cover the openings in the game board. To play the game, a player selects a search object. A player also selects a cover structure. The cover structure selected by the player is removed and the player looks through the exposed opening for the selected search object. The game is won when a predetermined number of search objects are found by a single player.

A game device includes a plurality of user-selectable cells extending between start and finish areas, where each of the cells is associated with a character performing an answer to a question or clue that may be provided in the form of a category. One or more participants move from the start to the finish area by selecting cells whose characters when taken in order form a valid answer. A number of valid answers or paths between the start and finish areas can exist. The participant is scored at least in part based on the characters forming the valid answer.

Interactive quiz game system and method

An interactive multimedia game conducted by a live human host is described. The game is played in rounds. In each round, the game poses question to teams of players. Team players select answers to each question posed and input their answers using player terminals. There may be more than one answer to the multimedia question posed, and the team players must pick all of the answers. The multimedia questions may have hints to help the team players arrive at correct multimedia answers. The multimedia questions must be answered within a given amount of time. Once time has expired, the correct multimedia answer(s) are revealed to the team players. The game also provides feedback to the teams as to whether they have selected the correct multimedia answer(s). The game awards points to the teams, with team scores determined according to the point of value of the multimedia question. The game then poses a new question. Play continues until the last question of the last round has been posed, answered, and scored. The game then announces the winning team.

Electronically interactive location-based multimedia game system and method

An interactive, multi-media game system and method is provided. In a preferred embodiment, an audio and/or visual playback system contains portions of a prerecorded narrative stored therein. Teams of players cooperatively solve puzzles, obtain information fragments and directional clues, and ultimately solve an overall meta-puzzle that can be in the context of the narrative. The players move between the portions of the prerecorded narrative and the puzzles that are positioned at selected locations in a defined space. The players solve threshold puzzles to permit them to access, or reaccess, selected portions of the narrative on the audio and/or visual playback device. The players gather sets of information fragments to solve a global meta-puzzle.
