The present specification provides a method, system and apparatus for posting data to a plurality of accounts at a plurality of remote servers. A display is controlled to generate a message region for receiving message data to be posted to at least a subset of the plurality of accounts. The display is controlled to generate icons, associated with the plurality of accounts, in a one-to-one relationship, the icons provided adjacent to the message region, each icon comprising: a first respective indicator of a respective account; a second respective indicator of a service associated with the account; and a respective picture. Icons are selected and the display is controlled to provide an indicator of selection at each of the selected icons. Message data is transmitted to each of the plurality of accounts associated with each of the icons which are selected via the communication subsystem.

A multi-source picture viewer adapted for use within a portable electronic device to view pictures saved on multiple sources, comprising a common graphical user interface for providing picture viewing functionality that is independent of the multiple sources, an optional domain-specific graphical user interface for providing source-related picture viewing functionality that is dependent on the multiple sources, and an image-fetching transport layer for retrieving pictures from the multiple sources and converting the pictures to a common picture model for display on the portable electronic device under control of the common graphical user interface and further manipulation via the domain-specific graphical user interface.

The present specification relates generally to computing devices and more particular relates to a method and apparatus for receiving data from a plurality of feed sources at a plurality of servers via a mobile device comprising a processor interconnected with a display. In one aspect, the mobile device is configured to start a feed service; register feed adapters with the feed service; receive content data via the feed adapters; and generate a list view of the content data on a display of the mobile device.
