A gravel pack system has a heel section and a toe section that is downhole from the heel section. The system also includes a conveyance having an interior passageway for fluid flow to the toe section, a closing sleeve that forms an annulus with the conveyance, a shunt having a first section that provides a fluid flow entrance into the shunt, a second section that extends to the heel section along the gravel pack system, and one or more nozzles along the second section that provides fluid flow out of the gravel pack system at the heel section, and a shroud having a first section that is coupled to the closing sleeve and a second section that is coupled to the shunt, where the shroud and the conveyance form a second annulus.

A sand screen system includes a tubular. The tubular includes at least one through-port from an outer surface of the tubular to an inner surface of the tubular. Further, the sand screen system includes a filtering portion positioned over the at least one through-port on the outer surface of the tubular. A moldable material couples the filtering portion to the tubular.

A system for deploying an untethered dissolvable frac package for use in a hydraulic fracturing operation includes a dissolvable or degradable frac package with a dissolvable or degradable setting tool. The setting tool of the dissolvable frac package is configured to deploy a dissolvable frac plug at a predetermined position along the wellbore string and dissolve over time in the wellbore.

A magnetic system for determining a position of an untethered dissolvable frac package for use in a hydraulic fracturing or stimulation operation. The system includes an array of magnets operable to produce a magnetic field that is operably associated with a position downhole along the string. A setting tool of the dissolvable frac package is configured to sense the magnetic fields and deploy a dissolvable frac plug at a predetermined position along the wellbore string.

Locating self-setting dissolvable plugs

Acid stimulation operations in a wellbore may be conducted using frac plugs constructed of a hydrolytically degradable polymer. The frac plugs may be constructed of an aliphatic polyester such as PGA and may be readily pumped into position in the wellbore due in part to their relatively low density. Once perforations have been created in the wellbore and a first frac plug is set in place, an acid solution may be pumped at a high-pressure acid against the frac plug and into the geologic formation. A second and/or any number of subsequent frac plugs may be pumped behind the acid, e.g., in brine solution, to be used in subsequent acid stimulation operations. After completing acid stimulation operations, the frac plugs may degrade in the wellbore to permit production.

Acid fracturing with dissolvable plugs

Method and system for deploying a frac package in a wellbore includes providing a location module for the frac package that can determine a position of the frac package in the wellbore. The location module operates to receive beacon signals from beacons located on the wellbore string and to calculate a velocity of the frac package based on the beacon signals. The location module further operates to calculate a location of the frac package based a time since a latest beacon signal and the velocity of the frac package. In some implementations, the beacons includes at least one beacon that transmits or emits a signal and at least one beacon that does not transmit or emit a signal.

Method and system for locating self-setting dissolvable plugs within a wellbore

A shunt system for a wellbore includes a first set of tubes defining a first plurality of fluid paths and a second set of tubes defining a second plurality of fluid paths. The shunt system also includes a mixing chamber positioned between the first set of tubes and the second set of tubes to allow slurry from the first plurality of fluid paths to mix together prior to outputting the slurry to the second set of tubes. Further, the shunt system is positionable external to one or more sand screens.

A shunt tube entry device comprises one or more inlet ports, a shroud disposed at least partially about a wellbore tubular, and a shunt tube in fluid communication with the chamber. The shroud defines a chamber between the shroud and the wellbore tubular, and the chamber is in fluid communication with the one or more entry ports.

A pressure actuated inflow control device that includes: a housing having a wall within which a fluid passageway axially extends; a collapsible apparatus coupled to the housing and configured to change from an extended to a retracted configuration when subjected to a predetermined pressure; and an axially extending plug at least partially disposed within the fluid passageway and removable from the fluid passageway; wherein, when the collapsible apparatus is in the extended configuration, the plug is disposed within the fluid passageway at a first position relative to the housing to restrict fluid flow through the fluid passageway; and wherein, when the collapsible apparatus changes to the retracted configuration, the plug is either: moved to a second position relative to the housing to allow fluid flow through the fluid passageway; or capable of moving from the first position to allow fluid flow through the fluid passageway.

Provided is method for gravel packing dual zones within a wellbore and integrating a zonal isolation system. The method, in one embodiment, includes creating an outer sub-assembly and an inner sub-assembly, wherein the inner sub-assembly is positioned within the outer sub-assembly. The method further includes running the outer sub-assembly proximate a bottom of a downhole portion of a wellbore, and setting an uphole packer in an uphole portion of the wellbore and a downhole packer in the downhole portion of the wellbore. The method further includes gravel packing an upper zone and a lower zone, pulling the gravel pack service tool assembly out of the wellbore thereby isolating the upper zone and the lower zone from each other and the wellbore, and running an upper completion into the wellbore to open one or both of the upper zone or the lower zone for production.

A downhole sand control completion system includes a completion string extendable within a wellbore and including one or more sand control screen assemblies arranged about a base pipe, each sand control screen assembly including one or more sand screens positioned about the base pipe. A shunt system is positioned about an exterior of the base pipe to receive and redirect a gravel slurry flowing in an annulus defined between the completion string and a wellbore wall. A return tube is positioned about the exterior of the base pipe and extends longitudinally along a portion of the completion string. The return tube defines a plurality of openings to receive a portion of a fluid in the annulus into the return tube to be conveyed into an interior of the base pipe via the return tube.

A wellbore completion system includes a tubular positioned in the wellbore such that an annulus is created between the tubular and a portion of the wellbore. The system further includes a gravel pack packer, a first packer positioned downhole of the gravel pack packer, and a second packer positioned downhole of the first packer. The gravel pack packer and the first packer define a first zone in the annulus, and the first and second packers define a second zone in the annulus. A wash pipe is positioned within the tubular and is positionable in a first position to allow fluid communication between a first port and the first packer and a second port and the second packer. The wash pipe is positionable in a second position to allow fluid communication between the first port and the first zone and the second port and the second zone.
