Some implementations include a changeable tip of a microscope system for testing an end face of an optical fiber. The changeable tip may include a tip housing having an optical fiber interface at a first end of the housing and configured to be coupled with the end face of the optical fiber and a device interface configured to be coupled with a tip connection interface of an opto-mechanical assembly of the microscope system. The changeable tip also may include at least one tip orientation indicator associated with the tip housing and configured to interact with a tip connection interface of the opto-mechanical assembly to cause a signal indicating tip orientation information associated with the changeable tip to be provided to the imaging device.

A device may include an input component and a focus control component. The focus control component may receive, from the input component, an input associated with adjusting a focus of a field of view of the device. The focus control component may determine whether an area of interest is present in the field of view. The focus control component may adjust, based on determining that the area of interest is not present in the field of view, the focus of the field of view at a focus speed associated with the input, or, based on determining that the area of interest is present in the field of view, may determine one or more parameters for modifying the focus speed, modify the focus speed based on the one or more parameters, and adjust the focus of the field of view at the modified focus speed.

A device may capture, using a camera associated with the device, a first image of a first set of optical fibers associated with an optical connector within a field of view of the camera. The device may determine that an actual distance of a relative movement of the camera and the optical connector and an expected distance of the relative movement of the camera and the optical connector fail to match. The device may perform one or more actions after determining that the actual distance and the expected distance fail to match.

A ladder stabilizing assembly for extension ladders has two length adjustable legs attached to opposing sides of the ladder at substantially the midpoint of the working distance of the ladder and two length adjustable braces attached to opposing sides of the ladder near the bottom and are securely attached to the legs. Rods through the hollow rungs attach the legs and braces to the ladder. Heim joints at one end of each leg and brace attach securely to the rods and enable the legs and braces to pivot and swivel for optimum stability placement. The ladder and stabilizer function as a single unit with a wide four point base. The legs and braces are calibrated to assist in setting the ladder at the standard angle for safe use. The stabilizing assembly prevents the ladder from sliding, tipping or other movement and enables the user to work wearing a safety harness.

In some embodiments, the system includes a telescopic sight assembly for viewing a target, at least one display device for displaying information to a user within the field-of-view of the telescopic sight assembly, a processor configured to receive user input data associated with one or more actual projectile impact locations as observed by the user, a memory, and a data input device, wherein at least one display device displays a calculated projectile impact location.
