Systems and methods for aligning an electronic device to a wireless charging pad disposed under a work surface are described. In some embodiments, a system may include a printed circuit board (PCB) and a light indicator coupled to the PCB, where the light indicator is configured to connect to a wireless charging pad disposed under a work surface, and where light emitted by the light indicator is visible to a user from above the work surface.

A camera integrates a magnet at one end of a housing to magnetically attract and attach the camera to a front side of a peripheral display, such as to support a video conference through an information handling system interfaced with the display. A touch sensor disposed at the camera housing, such as at the front face surface encircling the camera module, detects a single finger touch to command a change between communication of video stream images and a static stored image from the camera. Communication of a static image by the camera maintains a wireless local area network interface for the camera so that a rapid change back to video stream images may be accomplished without restarting the wireless communication interface.

In one embodiment, a ferromagnetic plate is disposed in the housing behind the display, the plate only a fractional area of the display. In another embodiment, a ferromagnetic material, such as an opposing polarity magnet of substantially the same circumference as the peripheral camera, is disposed behind the display and housing to attract the peripheral camera through both the display and housing. When the peripheral camera is detected at the display, one or both of the peripheral camera microphone and an integrated microphone of the information handling system are used to capture audio.

End user subscriptions are met in part by building replacement information handling systems with separated components having a useful life remaining that aligns with end user usage patterns tracked over time, benchmarked performance metrics and end user subscription performance characteristics.

A dock couples to the display and has a curved base on which a cylindrical housing of the peripheral camera rests. A power pogo pin and ground pogo pin extend from the dock rear support front surface to contact a power concentric ring and a ground concentric ring formed in the peripheral camera cylindrical housing rear side. The power pin contacts the power concentric ring and the ground pin contacts the ground concentric ring through 360 degrees of rotational orientation of the cylindrical housing in the dock curved base.

A stand having a spindle raised over a desktop surface includes ferromagnetic material in the spindle to magnetically couple the peripheral camera. In one alternative embodiment, a gimble interfaced with the camera module and cylindrical housing actuates to adjust the camera module to the upright vertical orientation.

A capacitive touch sensor disposed at an inner surface of the magnet detects touches made by an end user at an outer surface of the magnet. For instance, a single tap at the magnet commands capture of a still image by the camera, which is stored locally until the camera docks to receive external power and then communicated to an information handling system.

For example, a plurality of display configurations couple to housing portions of different dimensions with opposing couplers and a common keystone element that, when installed, prevents separation of the opposing couplers. Removal of the keystone element provides ready access to the housing portion interior to recycle processing components, such as a main board having a processor and memory.
