In one embodiment, a micromobility transit vehicle may include a steering assembly. The steering assembly may include a steer tube configured to rotate within a headtube of the micromobility transit vehicle, and a stiffening brace positioned about the headtube. A stem may be coupled to the steer tube and the stiffening brace and configured to rotationally lock the stem and the stiffening brace together. A preload assembly may be coupled to the steering assembly and the stem and configured to adjust a preload of the steering assembly.

Steering assembly for micromobility transit vehicles

Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide modular battery assemblies for micro-mobility fleet vehicles. A modular battery assembly for a micro-mobility fleet vehicle includes a battery assembly enclosure including an assembly retention interface configured to physically secure the assembly enclosure to a subframe assembly of the micro-mobility fleet vehicle, a battery cell assembly disposed within the battery assembly enclosure, and an enclosure lid mounted to the assembly enclosure. The modular battery assembly may include an arched floorboard panel configured to provide a floor board surface for the micro-mobility fleet vehicle. The battery cell assembly may include a honeycomb battery cell holder and a collector board atop the battery cell holder to provide wire bond interconnects between the battery cells.

Vehicle battery integration systems and methods

In one embodiment, a micromobility transit vehicle includes a frame including a downtube having a recess, a battery configured to be received within the recess of the downtube such that an external surface is formed by the outer surfaces of the downtube and the battery, a power connector within the recess and configured to be engaged with the battery to establish an electrical connection between the power connector and the battery, and a spring assembly coupled to the power connector and configured to allow the power connector to move with the battery. The power connector includes one or more alignment pins configured to align the power connector with the battery when the battery is being received within the recess. The spring assembly biases the power connector toward a direction from which the recess is configured to receive the battery.

Micromobility transit vehicle battery connection and lock systems and methods

Techniques are disclosed for a rear triangle configuration for a micromobility transit vehicle. In accordance with one or more embodiments, a micromobility transit vehicle is provided. The micromobility transit vehicle may include a seat tube, a wishbone seat stay including a fork and post connecting the fork to the seat tube, a collar connected to the post and rotatable about an axis defined by the post, and a lock cable connected to the collar to rotate about the post. The fork may be connected to a pair of chain stays, such as via a pair of rear dropouts, to extend around a portion of a rear wheel. The rear dropouts may include a vertical dropout structure and positively lock to an electric motor, such as via complementary structures. A channel may be disposed in a rear dropout to receive a motor cable running to the electric motor.

Micromobility transit vehicle rear triangle configuration

A micromobility vehicle for use in a vehicle share system includes a frame, a footboard fixed to the frame, a seat fixed to the frame, handlebars, and a computing device. The frame includes a horizontal portion and an angled portion. The seat is separated from the footboard in a vertical direction by a fixed distance. The handlebars are separated from the footboard in the vertical direction by a fixed distance. A cargo storage location is at least partially disposed between the seat and the footboard. The computing device is fixed to the frame and capable of executing a transportation matching system application.

Micromobility electric vehicle ergonomics

Systems and methods related to securing batteries to micro-mobility transit vehicles are disclosed. For example, a micro-mobility transit vehicle may have a battery compartment and a battery compartment door having a first end and a second end. The battery compartment door may provide a floorboard surface for the micro-mobility transit vehicle where the first end of the battery compartment door is hingedly coupled to the micro-mobility transit vehicle and the second end of the battery compartment door includes at least one pair of prongs extending from the second end and at least one breakaway tab physically coupled to each pair of prongs. The battery compartment door and a battery disposed within the battery compartment may be electromechanically secured to the micro-mobility transit vehicle by engaging locking cams on the breakaway tabs.

Vehicle battery securing systems and methods

Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods associated with locking a micromobility transit vehicle to a stationary object. A multimodal transportation system may include a docking station including a securement point, and a micromobility transit vehicle securable to the securement point of the docking station. The micromobility transit vehicle may include a storage basket and a lock cable including a first end coupled to the storage basket and a second end. The second end of the lock cable may be securable to the securement point of the docking station to lock the micromobility transit vehicle to the docking station. The storage basket may include a pin lock. The pin lock may engage a locking pin of the lock cable to lock the micromobility transit vehicle via the lock cable.

Micromobility transit vehicle lock-to mechanism systems and methods

Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods associated with a micromobility transit vehicle battery connection and lock. In accordance with one or more embodiments, a micromobility transit vehicle is provided. The micromobility transit vehicle may include a frame, a battery configured to be received at least partially within the frame, and a battery lock within the frame. The frame may include a downtube having a recess disposed therein. The battery may be configured to be received within the downtube and the recess to establish a continuous surface comprising one or more outer surfaces of the downtube and one or more outer surfaces of the battery. The battery lock may be positioned within the recess and configured to engage the battery to lock the battery in place.

A micromobility transit vehicle may include a steering assembly. The steering assembly may include a fork, a steer tube, a stiffening brace, and a stem. The steer tube may extend from the fork and be positioned to rotate within a headtube. The stiffening brace may extend from the fork and be positioned about the headtube. The stiffening brace may include a first engagement surface. The stem may be coupled to the steer tube and the stiffening brace to secure the steering assembly to the headtube. The stem may include a second engagement surface complementary to the first engagement surface and engaged with the first engagement surface to rotationally lock the stem and stiffening brace together.

Vehicle battery assembly systems and methods

A universal micromobility vehicle configured for use in a vehicle share system comprises a frame, a footboard fixed to the frame, a seat fixed to the frame, handlebars, and front and rear wheels supported by the frame. The seat is separated from the footboard in a vertical direction by a fixed distance between 500 mm and 600 mm. The handlebars are separated from the footboard in the vertical direction by a fixed distance between 700 mm and 900 mm. The footboard is fixed to the frame at a fixed vertical distance relative to the lower surfaces of the front and rear wheels between 160 mm and 240 mm. The seat is fixed to the frame at a fixed vertical distance relative to the lower surfaces of the front and rear wheels between 700 mm and 800 mm.
