An aircraft access cover for an opening in the surface of an aircraft. The aircraft access cover includes a first panel and a second panel, the first panel and second panel configured to be attachable to each other such that the surface of the aircraft is clampable between the first panel and second panel when the first panel and the second panel are attached to each other. A device that is operable to perform a function while attached to the aircraft access cover is attachable by a connector to the first panel of the aircraft access cover, the connector allowing the device to be movable between a first orientation relative to the first panel and a second orientation relative to the first panel.

An aircraft assembly is disclosed having a first structural component and a second structural component. A fastener fastens the first component to the second component. The first structural component includes a body and an insert in the body. The insert has a machined hole through which the fastener extends. The material hardness of the insert is lower than the material hardness of the body.

An aircraft landing gear support () including: a support member (such as a landing gear rib ()) and a plurality of pintle supports () (typically in the form of lugs) which form a pintle support arrangement for holding a pintle on which a landing gear assembly may be rotatably supported. The lugs are removably attached to the gear rib.

An assembly-ready joint for an aircraft assembly is disclosed. The joint includes a first joint part having a spigot. The joint also has a second joint part with a housing. A floating socket is in an interior of the housing. The second joint part receives the spigot in the floating socket. The joint is arranged to receive a curable medium, such as curable resin, in the interior to contract between the housing and the floating socket.
