A multi-layer structure includes a fluoropolymer bonded to a substrate. The structure is prepared by exposing a bonding composition to actinic radiation, such as ultraviolet radiation, to form the bond. The bonding composition includes a light-absorbing compound and an electron donor. The bonding composition includes non-adhesive materials.

Fluoropolymer bonding composition and method

Incorporating organophilic clay into hot melt adhesive compositions, particularly those comprising semi-crystalline, thermoplastic polymers, greatly improves the adhesive properties in many respects. Some of these improvements are particularly beneficial to the specific use of hot melt adhesives filled with electrically conductive particles for use as electrically conductive adhesives.

Also provided are methods of making a treated substrate and an abrasive article.

Coated substrate with energy curable cyanate resin

Compositions comprise (a) a curable resin sol comprising a colloidal dispersion of substantially spherical, substantially inorganic microparticles (e.g., surface-modified silica) in curable resin (e.g., epoxy resin); and (b) reinforcing fibers (e.g., carbon fibers). The compositions can be cured to provide fiber-reinforced composites which exhibit improved resin-dominated mechanical properties.
