A high pressure and temperature, hermetically sealed bulkhead connector with pin and socket contacts for use in logging tools is described. The bulkhead connector comprises (a) one or more contact(s) placed within one or more channels wherein the channels provide a clearance path between contact(s) and bulkhead body and travel at least a partial longitudinal distance between proximal and distal ends. The contact(s) reside in the channel(s) and include at least; an optional movement limiter section, one central elongated section, and one fixed section where the contact(s) is attached to the bulkhead body at the distal end. The body correctly positions respective ends of the contact so that the body secures contact(s) to be parallel to each other and the contact(s) have terminal ends for connection. This arrangement provides at least one pivotable, pliable, free floating contact extending away from the fixed distal end of the bulkhead body.

A non-conductive multi-layered ringed sealing gasket for mating pipe joints along a piping assembly comprising at least two mutually joined ring-shaped bodies. The ringed sealing gasket can be comprised of a metal and the bottom gasket section is separated from the top gasket section by an inner portion that is comprised of one or more non-conductive materials that are ductile but do not flow during dynamic motion and forces associated with the motion of the pipe joints wherein at least one layer of the inner portion includes rings with toroidal wrapped fibers having voids filled with adhesives such that shear forces occurring during movement of the piping assembly are distributed predominantly in the tensile direction along the axial length of the fibers, thereby eliminating cracking of the gasket under excessive loads.

A sensor and monitoring system for performing work upon an inner diameter of a machined workpiece, such as a pipe turned by a lathe, with the work being viewed and/or recorded remotely. The system includes a sensing device having an elongated rod, at least one sensor mounted to a first end of the rod, and a power supply and a transceiver mounted to a second end of the rod, the sensor being positioned within the bore of the workpiece for performing work upon the inner diameter and the transceiver and power supply positioned external to the bore. A controller device is wirelessly connected to the transceiver for wirelessly receiving and sending communication signals to and from the sensor via the transceiver. The sensor may of various types, such as a linear touch probe, a distance sensing laser, a temperature, vibration, gas, noise, or ultrasonic sensor, or a camera.
