Described are various embodiments of a cooling pack. In one such embodiment a cooling pack is provided for cooling a crotch region of a human while seated on a seating surface, the cooling pack comprising a tapered container for holding a cooling material therein, and defined by tapering upper and lower surfaces drawing into a tapered edge to be positioned between the crotch region and the seating surface in use, thereby providing cooling for the region.

Cooling pack

Embodiments provide a power management system for a battery-powered audio device. The system includes bi-directional power conversion and control circuitry to implement a corresponding control scheme. The system may be switchable between a charge mode, during which the power conversion and control circuitry charges the battery of the audio device and the AC/DC adapter provides an amplifier supply voltage to one or more amplifiers of the audio device, and a discharge mode, in which the power conversion and control circuitry may provide a regulated amplifier supply voltage to the one or more amplifiers that is regulated based on one or more operating conditions of the system. The system may provide reduced cost and reduced power consumption and reduced size compared with prior systems.

Power management system for battery-powered audio device

An amplifier circuit that includes a first amplifier that has a first input that receives an input signal, a second input and an output. The amplifier circuit also includes a second amplifier that has a first input that is coupled to the output of said the amplifier and a second input. The circuit further includes a first impedance network Z, a second impedance network Z, a third impedance network Zand a fourth impedance network Z. The first impedance network Zis coupled to a load and the second input of the second amplifier, the second impedance Zis connected the output of the first amplifier and the second input of the first amplifier, the third impedance Zis connected to the output of the first amplifier and the load, the fourth impedance Zis connected the output of the second amplifier and the second input of said first amplifier.

Amplifier circuit with reduced feedforward current

A power supply that includes a first current generator circuit that is coupled to a first transformer and generates a first waveform and a second current generator circuit that is coupled to a second transformer, and generates a second waveform that is out of phase with the first waveform. The first and second waveforms are rectified and combined into a DC output signal. The power supply includes a first coupling circuit that couples the first current generator circuit to the first transformer and a second coupling circuit that couples the second current generator circuit to the second transformer.

Power conversion techniques

This invention relates to acoustic drivers with stationary and moving coils. Time varying signals are applied to the moving and stationary coils to control the movement of a diaphragm, which produces audible sound. The time varying signals correspond to an input audio signal such that the sound corresponds to the input audio signal. Some of the described embodiments include multiple moving coils, multiple stationary coils or both. Some embodiments include feedback for adjusting one or more of the signals based on a characteristic of the acoustic driver. Various compensation and other features of the invention are also described in relation to various embodiments.

The embodiments described herein relate to amplifier circuits with power rails. The power rails are generated in response to an input signal, which will typically be an audio signal, and with a sufficient magnitude to power the amplifier and to generate an output signal corresponding to the input signal.

A power supply for limited power sources and an audio amplifier using the power supply comprising power sources to provide an output power signal that can be used by load with a high peak to average power requirement ratio. When such power sources are used to power devices that have a high peak to average power consumption, the average power output of the device is severely limited if the peak power is kept below the power supply limits of the limited power source.

Several push-pull linear hybrid class H amplifiers are disclosed. A split power rail provides a positive supply rail and a negative supply rail in response to a power supply control voltage. A push-pull amplifier stage is powered by the positive and negative supply rails. The amplifier stage receives an input signal and provides a corresponding amplified output signal. A power supply control circuit provides the power supply control voltage in response to the smaller of the positive and negative supply rails, and the input signal.
