A replacement heart valve implant may include a tubular anchor member actuatable between a delivery and a deployed configuration, the tubular anchor member including an inflow end, an outflow end, and a plurality of anchor member intersection points, and defining a longitudinal axis extending from the inflow end to the outflow end, a plurality of valve leaflets, and a seal member secured to the tubular anchor member at the inflow end. An end surface of each of the plurality of valve leaflets may abut an inner-facing surface of the seal member. The plurality of valve leaflets each define a secured end and a free end. The secured end may be attached to the seal member adjacent the inflow end. The secured end may define the end surface, and the end surface may face toward the outflow end when the plurality of valve leaflets is in an everted position.

A medical device handle may include a handle housing including a cavity disposed within the handle housing. The medical device handle may include a carriage assembly disposed within the cavity and operatively connected to the tubular member and the medical implant, the carriage assembly being longitudinally movable between a distal position and a proximal position by rotation of a control knob with respect to the handle housing, the control knob being disposed around a proximal end of the handle housing. A medical device apparatus may include a medical implant including a braided anchor member configured to actuate between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration operatively connected to a delivery system. The delivery system may include a handle, an outer sheath extending distally from the handle, and an inner catheter disposed within the outer sheath. A sheathing aid may connect the delivery system to the medical implant, the sheathing aid being configured to guide the medical implant into the outer sheath upon relative closing movement therebetween. The sheathing aid may include a plurality of arms extending from the inner catheter to a proximal end of the braided anchor member. At least one arm of the plurality of arms may comprise a core member having a width and a flexible member positioned about the core member.

The reinforcing band is secured to the anchor member adjacent a distal end of the anchor member by a plurality of lashings each attached to two individual filaments. A locking mechanism for a medical implant may include a buckle member, a post member axially translatable with respect to the buckle member, the post member including a receiving portion proximate a proximal end of the post member, a distal end, a laterally-arched central body portion extending between the receiving portion and the distal end, and a cantilevered leg extending proximally from the distal end, and an actuator element including a proximal shaft portion and a distal engagement portion, the distal engagement portion being configured to releasably engage the receiving portion of the post member. The proximal shaft portion may be pivotable with respect to the distal engagement portion.

A replacement heart valve may include a tubular anchor member actuatable between an elongated delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration, a buckle member fixedly attached to the anchor member, a post member axially translatable relative to the buckle member, the post member including a latch portion configured to engage the buckle member when the anchor member is in the deployed configuration, an actuator member including a pivot pin proximate a distal end thereof, the actuator member being releasably connected to a proximal end of the post member at the pivot pin, and a valve leaflet attached to the post member. The post member may be disposed distal of the anchor member when the anchor member is in the elongated delivery configuration.

A replacement heart valve locking mechanism may include a buckle member fixedly attached to a tubular anchor member defining a central longitudinal axis, a post member axially translatable relative to the buckle member, and an actuator member releasably connected to the post member at an attachment point. The post member may include a latch portion configured to engage a catch formed in the buckle member such that movement of the post member distally relative to the buckle member is prevented. The attachment point may be disposed proximal of the latch portion. Circumferential translation of the latch portion about the central longitudinal axis may disengage the latch portion from the catch.

The plurality of tethers may be releasably coupled to the release mechanism.

A replacement heart valve post and leaflet assembly may include at least a first post member including a body portion, a cantilevered leg portion, and a hinge portion configured to connect the body portion and the cantilevered leg portion and one or more leaflets. The cantilevered leg portion may comprise a longitudinally extending slot defined therein. At least a portion of a leaflet may extend through the slot. A backing element may be positioned over a portion of a leaflet such that the leaflet is secured between the cantilevered leg portion and the backing element.

Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include an inner shaft having a distal end region. A valve implant may be releasably coupled to the distal end region. The valve implant may be capable of shifting between an elongated configuration and an expanded configuration. A post assembly may be disposed along the valve implant. The post assembly may include a release member that is axially slidable along the post assembly. The medical device may also include a rod designed to engage the release member. The rod may be designed to shift the valve implant between the elongated configuration and the expanded configuration. Axially shifting the release member along the post assembly may release the rod from the post assembly and deploy the valve implant.

A locking mechanism for a medical implant may comprise a buckle member fixedly attached to a tubular anchor member, a post member axially translatable relative to the buckle member, wherein the post member includes a first proximal portion and a second proximal portion, the first proximal portion being disposed adjacent to the tubular anchor member and the second proximal portion being disposed radially inward of the first proximal portion, and an actuator element including a lateral protrusion proximate a distal end thereof, the actuator element being releasably coupled to the post member. The post member may include an engagement portion configured to engage the buckle member such that movement of the post member distally relative to the buckle member is prevented. The second proximal portion may be configured to deflect away from the first proximal portion to release the actuator element.
