Dentifrice formulations and methods of oral care

The formulations can include gels or hydrogels that contain at least one reactive oxygen species (ROS). The formulations can include a composition containing a reduced species (RS) and a reactive oxygen species (ROS). Compositions can be prepared by providing water, purifying the water to produce ultra-pure water, combining sodium chloride to the ultra-pure water to create salinated water, and electrolyzing the salinated water at a temperature between about 4.5 to about 5.8&#xb0; C.

Redox signaling gel formulation

Redox signaling gels are disclosed. Such gels include a composition with at least one reactive oxygen species (ROS) and a rheology modifier. Also presented herein is a process for making the gels which includes making the composition by taking the steps of purifying water to produce ultra-pure water, combining a salt to the ultra-pure water to create a salinated water, electrolyzing the salinated water at a temperature of 4.3 to 5.8&#xb0; C. such that the electrolyzing is accomplished with an anode, cathode and power source such that the power source comprises a transformer and a rectifier and does not comprise a filter capacitor.

Methods for preparing an eye serum formulation are disclosed. The methods include electrolyzing a saline solution having a salt concentration between about 0.01% and about 1.0% by weight using a voltage between about 0 V and about 30 V across an inert anode and a spaced apart inert cathode to generate a target mixture of chemically reduced and oxidized molecules within the saline solution, mirroring the target mixture of chemically reduced and oxidized species in the electrolyzed saline solution to the reduced species and reactive oxygen species found in a known biological system, adding a rheology modifier, adding a buffering agent, and adding a silicone oil. The target mixture of chemically reduced and oxidized molecules comprises one or more of hypochlorous acid, hypochlorites, dissolved oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen gas, hydrogen peroxide, hydrogen ions, hypochloride, superoxides, ozone, activated hydrogen ions, chloride ions, hydroxides, singlet oxygen, *OCl, and *HO&#x2014;.

A sanitizing formulation is disclosed for use as a hand sanitizer. The formulation may include hypochlorous acid, a silicone polymer or blend thereof, sodium phosphate, hydrochloric acid, and sodium magnesium silicate. Methods of using and making the sanitizing formulation are also disclosed.
