A system and method are provided for displaying video surveillance fields of view limitations. The system and method perform video surveillance of a given area and then geo-locate any obstacles within the area, including measuring their overall size and shape. The system and method map the size, location and shape of the objects into a database and then identify where there are video surveillance coverage gaps from each vantage point where video surveillance is being performed on the area. The system and method then determine where there are overlapping locations of blocked video surveillance (i.e., locations that are 'invisible' to video surveillance). The system and method create a simulated image of the area from an orientation above the area which indentifies locations within the area that may not be seen by video surveillance from any of the vantage points where video surveillance is being performed.

A system includes a motion detection processor, a motion tracking processor, a people detection processor, a controller, a fusion processor, an appearance model generator processor, a database, a fast search processor, and a matching processor. The motion detection processor, the motion tracking processor, the controller, the people detection processor, the fusion processor, and the appearance model generator processor comprise an analytics pipeline, and the database and the fast search processor comprise a data index pipeline.

System for finding archived objects in video data

Identification servers are small, perhaps embedded, systems that can be used as subsystems of a tracking and verification system. An identification server can obtain identification data when a trigger, called an identification event, occurs. The identification server can store the identification data in a database module with a key. The identification server can send a message containing the identification data or the key to a set of subscribing clients. Subscribing clients, such as a central database or a graphical user interface, are clients that subscribe to receive messages from the identification server. An identification server can trigger off of an identification message sent by another identification server.

Method for verification via information processing

A system for tracking objects across an area having a network of cameras with overlapping and non-overlapping fields of view. The system may use a combination of color, shape, texture and/or multi-resolution histograms for object representation or target modeling for the tacking of an object from one camera to another. The system may include user and output interfacing.

Object tracking system

A face detection and recognition system having several arrays imaging a scene at different bands of the infrared spectrum. The system may use weighted subtracting and thresholding to distinguish human skin in a sensed image. A feature selector may locate a face in the image. The face may be framed or the image cropped with a frame or border to incorporate essentially only the face. The border may be superimposed on an image direct from an imaging array. A sub-image containing the face may be extracted from within the border and compared with a database of face information to attain recognition of the face. A level of recognition of the face may be established. Infrared lighting may be used as needed to illuminate the scene.
