A latch for removably securing one of a plurality of different accessories to an automobile is described. The latch includes a mounting structure which is permanently installed on the vehicle in a manner which assures that the static and dynamic loading expected by reason of the differing accessories are supported by the vehicle. The latch also provides electrical feed-through for accessories that might need the same, and remote and/or locking securance.

Mechanical and/or electro-mechanical interconnect system for vehicle

Medical needle apparatus for transferring fluid includes syringe assemblies for fluid injection and phlebotomy systems for collecting blood samples. A case with an elongated cavity therein has an open end and a relatively closed end from which a hollow needle projects. An operating member fits through the open end of the case into the cavity and controls both fluid transfer and self-destruction of the apparatus after fluid transfer to prevent reuse. Plastic deformable means responsive to pressure on the operating member in a direction toward the needle renders the apparatus non-reusable after fluid transfer either by actuating needle retraction or by increasing the lateral dimension of the operating member to prevent withdrawal. The apparatus is operable with a single hand to transfer fluid and actuate deformable means without re-positioning the hand on the apparatus.

Non-reusable medical needle apparatus

A surface mounted printed circuit board connector system that keeps pins for attachment to SMT PCB's in close alignment through the positioning and soldering operations of assembly, and which contains a carrier strip that rips off from one end along the surface of the SMT PCB, and to which thermoplastic accessories may be attached.
