A feeding mechanism comprising an accumulating area mechanism for feeding sheets into the accumulating area to form a stack, exit mechanism, mechanism for moving the stack of sheets from the accumulating area through the exit mechanism, support mechanism are provided to keep the trailing edge of a previous sheet fed in the accumulating area uplifted until the leading edge of a subsequent sheet is moved beneath a previous sheet.

Sheet understacking feeding mechanism

A sheet feeding mechanism having a frame support assembly and an accumulating area mounted on the frame support assembly. The accumulating area has a feeding mechanism and a release mechanism. The feeding mechanism adapted to feed sheets into the accumulating area to accumulate a stack of sheets. A mechanism for moving a stack of sheets out of the accumulating area past the release mechanism. A mechanism for changing the length of the accumulating area to permit the accumulating area to receive sheets of different lengths.

Variable length sheet feeding mechanism

A sheet and stack feeding mechanism comprising an accumulating area, a mechanism for feeding sheets into the accumulating area, a pair of exit rollers and a mechanism for moving the stack of sheets out of the accumulating area through the exit mechanism, the exit roller being resilient to permit stacks of various thickness to pass therethrough.

Sheet and stack feeding mechanism

A sheet feeding mechanism comprising feeding sheets to an accumulating area. The accumulating area being at a first lateral plane and comprising spaced side rails at said first lateral plane. The accumulating area is between the side rails. The side rails are movable to a second lateral plane spaced from the first lateral plane. The distance between the side rails may be adjusted and after adjustment, the side rails are moved back to the first lateral plane.

Rack and pinion adjustment mechanism

A sheet feeding mechanism including a singulating assembly and mechanism for accumulating sheets in a stack adjacent the singulating assembly. The singulating assembly comprises a retard roller and a guard adjacent thereto. The retard roller has a first bearing surface at a lower position. A mechanism is provided for feeding single sheets from the stack past the bearing surface of the retard roller and beneath it. The retard roller is adjustable to move the first bearing surface away from its lower position and replacing it with a second bearing surface at the lower position.

Adjustable indexing roller mechanism

An envelope machine having a roller assembly with a groove in the roller and a ring assembly removably mounted in the groove. The ring assembly has a pair of half-rings segments removably mounted in the groove, each of which are adapted to mesh and interfit with each other to form the ring assembly. The ring assembly lies below the surface of the roller and each ring segment has a holding notch at one end and a key assembly at the other end, with the holding notch of one ring segment adapted to interfit and mesh with the key assembly of another ring segment.

A turnover mechanism for handling sheets having a pair of belts, said belts are spaced one above the other, sheet turnover tubes interposed between the two belts, one of the turnover tubes facing in a direction opposite to the other turnover tubes, the sheets being fed to one of the belts, the belt moving the sheets to a turnover tube whereby the turnover tube inverts the sheets and transfers the sheets from one belt to the other belt. The belts and turnover tubes are mounted in an invertable module.

Sheet turnover mechanism

A sheet feeding mechanism comprising a feed belt assembly, a conveyor for feeding sheets to the feed belt assembly, the feed belt assembly having a belt driven first by a first drive roller, an idler roller assembly having an idler roller spaced from the first drive roller and driven by the first drive roller and a feed switch. The idler roller is mounted for pivotal movement toward and away from the feed switch whereby the feed switch mechanism will be activated by the idler roller assembly to permit sheets to be fed. The feed belt assembly comprises a take-up belt assembly and a delivery belt assembly and said conveyor moves sheets against the take-up assembly.

Sheet feeding mechanism

An insert feed mechanism a feeder for feeding an insert, a folding assembly, a conveyor for transporting the insert from the feeder to the folding assembly, a sheet feeder for supplying the folding assembly with an envelope sheet. The conveyor directs the insert to strike the envelope sheet at a predetermined place on the envelope sheet where the first fold is to occur. The folding mechanism folds the envelope sheet around the insert to form a mailing envelope.
