Disclosed herein is a photocatalytic oxidation device configured for integration within a vehicle ventilation system. The device includes a frame, an ultraviolet lamp, and a cell coated with a photocatalytic material. The lamp, when activated, causes the generation of oxidizers at the cell panel. Air is passable through apertures of the cell panel and thus may be moved through the device. The device is structurally configured and dimensionally optimized to provide effective photocatalytic activity within the vehicle ventilation system without overly restricting airflow.

Air purification device for vehicle ventilation systems

Disclosed herein is a photocatalytic oxidation device that includes a frame and a pair of opposing photocatalytic cell panels. An ultraviolet lamp is disposed within an interior chamber and, when activated, causes the generation of oxidizers at the cell panels. Air is passable through apertures of the cell panels and thus may be moved through the device. The device is structurally configured and dimensionally optimized to provide effective photocatalytic activity without overly restricting airflow.

This disclosure relates to water treatment devices that utilize photocatalytic oxidation to generate oxidizing agents. A water treatment device is configured to be connected in line between a water supply and a washing machine. Wash water from the water supply passes into the device and through a conduit of the device. A reaction chamber includes an ultraviolet lamp and a catalyst cell for generating the oxidizing agents. The generated oxidizing agents are injected into the wash water as it passes through the conduit. The water treatment device also includes a flow sensor placed in line with the conduit to determine when the device should be activated to generate the oxidizing agents.

Photocatalytic oxidation laundry device

An active oxidation and purifying system is provided to increase or maximize the rate of photocatalytic oxidation and ambient air purification capacity by providing both direct ultraviolet (UV) light and reflected UV light directed to the surface and apertures of active cell panels coated with a photocatalytic material. In one example, the active cells also include a plurality of apertures disposed in a transverse manner from the first surface to the second surface of the active cell. Furthermore, a first set of the apertures could be disposed about 45 degrees relative to a median axis along the first and second surfaces, while a second set of apertures could be disposed about negative 45 degrees relative to the same median axis in order to increase the surface area impinged by the direct and reflected UV light.

Active photocatalytic oxidation

An air sanitization device is provided that utilizes radiant catalytic ionization to produce purifying plasma comprising highly oxidative molecules that greatly decrease the amount of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and particulate matter within the HVAC system and the interior of transportation vehicle. The air sanitation device includes surfaces coated or impregnated with a noble alloy that comprises predominately titanium dioxide and a UV light source that directs UV light onto the surfaces of coated surfaces to generate, via the radiant catalytic ionization reaction the purifying plasma. Integration of the air sanitization device into a vehicle HVAC system greatly decreases irritant molecules within the vehicle.
